Thanks for the info.
When I was talking to the sales guy, he said it would take an additional two months.
When you finally got it, was it the model year you ordered or did they give you a new model year?

No one can quote you how long it will take for an AE order. Anyone who does, is, in a word, lying. All they can (and should) tell you is “it takes longer”.

Secondly, you’re not even in the window as far as I know, for an AE order to be submitted to begin with.

Just order the car from Roger - you’ll be far, far better off.

Got it. Thanks.
I was going to look into ordering from him, but just in the month I’ve been here I’ve seen he does so much, I wouldn’t want to bother him.
I’m also 15 hours away and didn’t know if it could be delivered here.
I should probably ask and not assume….

You’re not bothering him - if anything you’re thanking him in a direct way by doing business with him.

I worked for Audi for many years. I no longer do. I’ve owned many, many, many new Audis dating back 25 years (long before I worked for them). If I elect to order another, it will only be from Roger.

I think 11ish months is about the standard for AE paint and allotment doesn’t automatically equal AE. Have you checked dealers for AE cars already on the ground that meet your spec? As an example, I ordered my 2024 AE the day the ordering opened in July of 2023 and took delivery in June of 2024 ahead of the original schedule.

Mine took exactly 11 months.

That trim/black wheel combo doesn’t look great IMO. Maybe it’s the darkness of the Velvet Purple, for my money Merlin is the best purple.

I'm not a fan of the black wheels either. Don't know if I'm an outlier because i want the chrome rings and not the blacked out packages.

Agree. Chrome rings and model designation and light colored wheels look great.

I like the blacked out window trim, blades and rear diffuser though.

Found this thread to be very informative while I was waiting on an AE RS7 during the pandemic.
Thinking about the RsQ8 for the wife. Any way to get one without the skylight? I’m sure the one that just set the SUV record has a metal roof and more light is not wanted in Florida.

It’s not like the VAG doesn’t like to charge extra for customization. The Uris can be had with a metal roof.

Following are examples of how VAG loves to charge me for customization.

My incoming '25 is a Porsche color with interior AE. Scheduled to be built in March- I ordered it way back in July '23... part of the long runway was waiting for appropriate windows to open, but also not sure my dealership is super high volume with RS allocations.

Chalk has to much beige in it, I think Nardo overall is a nicer colour.

Congrats kits0n! Looks great! Enjoy for many miles in the best of health!

We lived in Severna Park for several years, and then moved back briefly to Edgewater for a year. Seeing snow on the ground is a rarity!! I remember how people would buy every container of milk and toilet paper if they said the word “snow” on the news. Grocery shelves would be emptied, no bread in sight. And it usually would melt in a day or two. Hope you’re staying warm and able to enjoy your beautiful new car!

Hey all, I've been considering putting in an order for an RS6 the beginning of March. My local dealer seems to think there wouldn't be an issue getting an allocation, but they want to mark it up about 5k. This would be my first car purchase over $60k, so I'm not sure exactly how to negotiate it. How much is everyone else paying? I also saw that this is going to be the last year for production, I don't want to miss the ordering window. Any advice?

There are new Z06 vettes around that are $5k off sticker. My dealership tried the same, they wanted $10k, then $5k. We settled at $0 over sticker without much fuss.

I'm starting to call around to dealers to place an order. Fine paying sticker, but the shops in my area (Northern California) are still asking $20k over MRSP, which is insane. Will likely need to expand my radius a bit.

I had one dealer tell me that I can't order an RS6 anymore because they are being replaced with the RS7 Avant. So basically, they are not available anymore apart from current allocations.

Based on this thread, it sounds like they are still readily available. Has anyone placed an order recently? At MSRP?

The market has flattened considerably, so MSRP (even small ~$1-2K discounts available) - at most volume dealers that can get allocations. I can spec an order right now, even with AE still open for the Avant, so ...

I ordered one in Norcal at MSRP with some minor haggling. Ordered just last month.

It's doable, but you'll want to call around. One dealer was still asking for 50k over for a car on the showroom floor. Said it would be more for a factory order. Easiest walkaway of my life.

Looks like it's in Production, but not complete - not surprising for an AE paint really. Current ETA Dealer (Audi Calabasas) is:05/01/2025 - 05/21/2025 (DRAFT ETA)

THIS Comm No is still on Audi Rocklin's WAITLIST. If that is you, then there is NO ETA, as this order is not at the Factory at all - just hangin' out at the Dealer. Check with them to see if there's another Comm No applicable to your order...

Looks like #680 is Daisy Leader. went into Emden 3/3/25, spent about 24 hours at VW dock, then on to Bremerhaven and left on 3/6 directly to Cristobal, Panama canal.
Due in San Diego 3/31.

If you didn’t already find this, you can track it on different sites. In the past I’ve used Marine Tracker. I’ve never subscribed or created an account. If you subscribe or upgrade you get more info.

Once the ship is at sea, my experience is that the tracking may not show any progress for days. Once it gets closer to the continent it updates more frequently. It can be hit or miss, but at least you have a general idea of what’s happening.

Here’s the link to Daisy Leader on Marine Traffic:

Thanks for info @No Garage Queen

I was able to backtrack Daisy on https://www.myshiptracking.com/ to see that it had berthed at Emden on 3/4/25, which aligned with my (only ever) notice from Audi factory that my car had departed 03/04 2025.

My dealer keeps me pretty well updated and sent me the Vehicle Details sheet which showed Departure on 03/04/2025 on ship #680, but he doesn't know what ship #680 is.

Other than following the track backwards there is no mention of Daisy berthing at Emden anywhere, only that she departed Bremerhaven for Cristobal 04/06/2025.

Next stop: Panama!

Yup - the Daisy Leader (PWL#680) on voyage 003A left Emden on 5 Mar: Scheduled into San Diego, CA on 27 Mar, then Benicia, CA on 7 Apr. Those are just the VW RO-RO stops btw (VW, Audi, Porsche, Bentley & Lambo). Other forwarders can schedule intermediate stops for others too (like BMW). On Marine Traffic you can see the it has since left Bremerhaven (after Emden) on the 7 Mar, and is due into Cristobal, PA (ahead of San Diego) on 21 Mar... nothing really unusual here.

They will need to wait on an allocation (sometime next week I think), and then award based on their priority - they SHOULD tell you where you stand on that list. I have an OPEN allocation right now - but not for long - maybe this weekend only !!!

Good evening, Roger. Interesting thing popped up on my order (COMM#Q73745). It is on hold for "Price" as of 3/12. My salesman thinks it may be due to impending tariffs/etc. It is an AE interior order, and the price shown on the order page does not reflect the AE options, only the standard options. I'm hoping it's the latter instead of the former. Any insight?

No AE pricing shows until the car actually clears customs and gets a Monroney - too many variables due to timing to advance pricing. Price holds are not unusual, especially with AE cars - As for tariff pricing holds, I haven't seen nor heard of that happening yet - There's too much tariff-go 'rounds stuff happening every day to keep track...

Hi - new here. Although it's anyone's guess at this point, just curious what the buzz is from Audi, dealers and customers about the looming tariffs on EU imports. I factory-ordered an RS7 in February, week 14 production (March 31), and projected delivery mid to late June. The CEO's of BMW and Mercedes have offered a glimmer of hope with their recent statements on reducing or eliminating the auto tariffs between Germany and the US. I've adopted a wait and see for now. I've considered shifting gears and looking for one on a dealer lot, but those would be compromise cars, and I love my build. True first-world problems. LOL.

My '25 arrived last Friday and picked it up today. Night blue pearl effect paint, which is a lot subtler than my other blue Audi's (Mugello, Moonlight, Nogaro, Ara, Sepang and Sprint) which is a good thing as I age into mellower tastes. Color is very close to my Moonlight blue SQ5. Appearance of car is better than I ever could have hoped.
Ordered in May '24 so basically a 10-month wait, with literally no updates from dealer. Got a text from them out of the blue last week saying it arrived the day before. Got a tutorial from the "Audi Delivery Specialist" on the electronics, most of which went over my head so it will be a fun few days figuring everything out on my own. Will get ppf and ceramics coating in a few days. Need to find a decent set of 21" wheels as all season and snow choices for 22" are pretty limited.

I guess with mine built (per Roger's post just above yours) but not shipped to the US yet, not sure if mine's going to show up 25% more expensive by the time it gets to the dealer, if so, they can keep it lol, not paying upwards of $200K for an RS6.

For what it's worth, my sales guy said that tariffs attach when the car is wholesaled from manufacturer to the dealer, which like pski said happens when the vehicle leaves the port. I have a full AE interior RS6 that's built and on a price hold due to arrive in May or June. Gonna be a tough decision if it suddenly costs north of $200k.

It's built (...SN908216), completed on the 22nd, but still at the Factory. Dealer (Audi San Jose) Delivery ETA is: 06/19/2025 - 07/03/2025, so that last estimate is still about true ...

For those asking about when tariffs could be applied: likely last at stateside invoicing, so when it's cleared by customs (having had its pricing completed), it's invoiced and Monroney issued. If that's done ahead of the tariff application, you're solid - even if it sits at port for a while - billed is billed...

No car manufacturer is going to pay the tariffs out of their own pockets. If the car is delivered after they come into effect, yeah of course it sucks, but that's the way it works. It's not just Audi, this is happening to all imported vehicles.

Not sure where I said they were responsible for this, but they still have a choice of how to deal with it, as a business. Charge me what I originally agreed to pay for the car, or don't, and try to sell it to someone else.

Mercedes is keeping all prices flat in 2025 so they're paying tariffs. BMW is honoring prices for cars ordered before the tariff announcements so they're paying tariffs. There are many different approaches being taken.

For those of you gearing up for a new car delivery, you may be dreading the final grind meeting with the finance guy where, in rapid fire succession, they lay out a menu of service plans and warranties for you to purchase without any real time to consider their relative merits. To blunt the high pressure sales tactic, I'm building a list of the various items so I can consider everything well in advance. Without getting into the pros and cons because YMMV, here's what I have listed below. Curious what others have encountered during recent deliveries. I left off tint, PPF, ceramic because I'll go to a trusted third party for those.

Roger, any chance you can look up Q37676? It's gotta be getting close... I hope!

Sorry - was tied up for a few days: looks like you have this beauty already ... and without any tariff impacts - ENJOY !!

Is production still being held up despite the 90 day pause?

The 90 day pause doesn't include cars as the car tariffs were implemented separately.

On some better news, looks like Audi is still shipping cars as my salesperson confirmed my car is on a boat en-route to the US.

On Rennlist, it sounds like Porsche is eating the tariffs for cars built before April (out of the factory by March 31st), so hopefully Audi does the same here.

Cars are being shipped, but are currently being held it the ports.

Just heard from my dealer that my car is due in to port Benicia on 5/1, and they have been receiving cars from port with no tariffs attached. He was however quick to note that the situation could change at any moment. Here's hoping my AE interior RS6 makes it through unscathed from damage, physical and financial!

Ah, the news made it sound like Audi had stopped shipping cars to the US and any in flight cars were held at port.

If this Carscoops article is accurate, there could be very good news for anyone with an Audi on its way to the port now.

https://www.carscoops.com/2025/04/redesigned-audi-q5-gets-costly-nearly-7k-more-but-dont-blame-tariffs/

A company spokesperson stated: “We have not passed on the additional costs from tariffs to our customers and will hold pricing through at least the end of May.”

This quote was specifically with respect to the new Q5, but I would be surprised if it didn't apply to all cars from Audi.

Does anyone have any leads on a new loaded RS6 that has Congac interior?

The only exterior color I don't want is white or silver.

I've been looking, but I swear I can't not find a loaded one that has the Congac interior only the black with teh red or blue sticching.

My dealer has one that's Nardo grey fully loaded, but black interior. I just want Congac, lol.
