Ok, so my car is low, but i saw other with much lowered car than mine and i can't find a thread where people talk about Adjustable Front Upper Control Arm Kit.

I had i vibration and while doing my tire rotation, i found that my front passenger side tire has the inner thread gone !

Did not have this probleme last year, but i lowered my car another 5mm and even with an alingement it was to much fro the front passenger side.

I was looking at some Adjustable Front Upper Control Arm Kit.

ECS has this kit that look like and probably his the same as the ACDelco/moog and all the other with the same part

I'm looking for a real review and /or another alternative

I had SPC arms on my B7 and they were great. Easy to adjust out and in the car (required a 17mm/19mm, and I used an adjustable for the larger one), and helped me from chewing up tires. Install was easy--I matched the OE control arm length and position on the strut as best I could before having it over for alignment. Never had any issues with the shops trying to get as close to zero camber/toe as possible.

The kit you show looks a bit more expensive than I remember when buying mine (maybe $100 difference). I have used the SPC rebuild kits/parts for theirs. Probably could've done things cheaper but I didn't. Like you mentioned, the Moog and ACDelco ones are similar looking (not sure who came first), and likely less expensive. They also hold their value pretty well, considering the cost of a new set.

I have heard good things in the past about the 034 kit. I think they use their density line bushings, and obviously the Aurora spherical bearings too. And def can be rebuilt.

How long do a set of these typically last before needing to be re-built?

I had mine on 3-4 years I think before I rebuilt them

That's pretty good... I hate camber. But I wasn't quite sold on adjustable control arms to mitigate the issues stemming from it when I lower my car.

If you are suspect of adjustable control arms, then you may want to look into tires that can accommodate that extra camber as well (e.g., Nitto NeoGen).

034 seem to be the cheaper option

Called a place today for the installation of the 034 and alignement and the guy told me that the 034 don't realy like our wheather here in montreal and that i would have to change the arm every year ...

Now i'm going to see if the SPC are any better than the 043, atleast they have a ball joint

Pretty sure 034 do a cover cap to protect the adjustment bolt from corrosion.

The 034 arms do come with dust caps that cover the spherical bearings, they are still susceptible to road grim and debris as the cover is not built in like the SPC ball joints. Having installed both the SPC and 034 in a number of Audi's, both offer great adjustment and have lasted around the same time as an OE style would. Being in New England, we do see a fair amount of salt and sand during our winters and both have held up to these climates. Anyone who is interested in ordering adjustable control arms are more than welcome to PM me and I would be happy to help!

Which control arms would you recommend? And why?

Which control arms would you recommend? And why?

Both have great advantages mentioned above, the main being camber correcting for lowered vehicles which is ultimately what 90% of us are looking for. 034 makes a great kit that is geared more towards track purpose vehicles. Spherical bearings can wear quicker as they are exposed to the elements more so than a ball joint, they make a convenient replacement kit for if/when the time comes. 034, in our experience, does take longer to align as you have to remove the arm/spherical heim from the stud installed on the steering knuckle and then adjust the spherical rod end, check, repeat as necessary. This can take a few tries to get right on an alignment rack as you have to lift the front of the vehicle to gain access to the arms.

SPC adjustable arms are similar in design and are more user friendly as you can adjust the arms with two wrenches while the vehicle is on the alignment rack. As you adjust you can watch the readout and lock them in place once your aligned. Also, SPC makes a spherical inner option for those who see more track time than daily duties while keeping the outer an OE style ball joint.

034 has two different styles (https://xlr8performance.com/i-194-034motorsport-density-line-adjustable-upper-control-arm-kit-camber-correcting-b8-audi-a4-s4-rs4-a5-s5-rs5-q5-sq5.html?ref=search:https%3A%2F%2Fxlr8performance. com%2Fsearch.html%3Fq%3D034-401-1008%26Search%3DSearch) available depending on the amount of camber you need, Camber Correcting and Track Spec. Camber Correcting offers over 5/8" of outward adjustability from stock length. Track Spec is 1/8" shorter than stock, these offer an additional 5/8" of inward adjustability from stock length.

SPC arms both give you 1.5 degrees of camber adjustment regardless of which kit you go with.

Remember, whenever correcting excessive camber always move the harness located on the inner fender to avoid damaging the harness.

I recently put the 034 kit on my car, replacement control arms for lower and adjustable uppers. I haven't gotten it aligned yet, but no issues installing them. They do come with dust boots to protect the heim joints.

Whatever you do, if replacing any lower arms (mine were past needing to be done at 63k), do NOT order anything from RockAuto. 3 orders and still didn't have parts that fit together, even though all same brand.

Any reason why you wouldn't order from FCP Euro given they have a lifetime warranty on all parts bought through them?

passenger forward lower control arm bushing took a crap so ordered from RockAuto so I could get the parts ASAP to get it back on the road since it's my daily. With all the non-fitting parts, took me 19 days to get it back on the road done. Went with 034 due to the installation thread I was following and quite frustrated RA couldn't get me parts that actually fit together. I didn't plan on adjustables, but when ordering I went with them so I could feel like I upgraded, lol.

Everything i've been looking up on it said it's just 2 arms for 280$. So your would need 2 sets.

i was about to order them and went to my alignement shop and he told me that this part number was for one side only.

So Jessica B from Moog just answer what ever she want.

Instead, i ask the alignement shop to move my subframe to have the same camber on each side, and now i'm at the max camber OEM spec (-1.9) on both side

Actually it's both sides. I bought the set. I'm not lowering the car anymore so I might just return them.

If anyone is interested I'll sell them instead.
