In the last coupla months there've been 3 or 4 6MTs that sold on the SFBayArea Craigs for less than four large complete and running. This might have a chance if it had good paint but that's fucked up too. He's had it listed for over 2 months...

How 'bout we limit this to complete and realistic S4's.

Some are looking to build a bargain ($1500 chassis + $500 motor, etc).
I doubt the seller would turn away a reasonable offer.

Thanks for continuing to update this. I have found it very interesting, and even a little bit dangerous haha. It spurred me to do a nationwide Craigslist search to see what else was out there, and I stumbled across this absolute unicorn of a car that had only been posted for an hour when I found it. It had 179K miles, but it was a 2000 Nogaro 6MT with the sport package (matching alcantara), in phenomenal condition, with a clean title and full service history, no modifications(!), and was still owned by the original owner! And the asking price was only $4000!!! I literally emailed the guy via the Craigslist link (only form of contact provided) immediately upon seeing the ad to express my interest. Unfortunately, I never heard back and by the time I got to work this morning and checked the listing, it had been taken down. Literally ruined my day.

Hi I have for sale is an Audi S4 with a 6 speed transmission around 120k miles that's been all gone trough . Just recently put a newer motor with 98k miles, newer turbos with 70k miles (ko3) new clutch , fly wheel and pressure plate , new timing belt , water pump , thermostat, radiator, head gasket, valve cover gasket , oil pan gasket , intake gasket, manifold gaskets, 02 sensors , new spark plugs new cv axles, new 3 inch down pipes with 3 inch mid section and vibrant axle back. Removed down stream o2 sensors because there not needed. Comes with a stock tune and a giac stage 2 tune (290whp).
Has Check engine light for catless down pipes

Car comes with a new rs4 style front bumper because the current one is damaged. Car also needs hood release because it broken but you can still can open it, right mirror glass and a/c makes noise when a/c is on

Says it's a wideband. The right side reads injector duty cycle. Maybe 2 different readings? I know OCT made a boost gauge like this back in the day. Maybe they had other configurations you could display instead?

Brand New michelin X-Ice tires. Ready for winter!

Very clean california car with very good shape black leather in Michigan, hasn't seen winter yet.

I am impressed that you took the trouble to talk to them with an ask of $25k. Even $18k is high for a starting point for a black avant, more than 100k miles (although wrong on cluster) and no sport package. Kinda like the sedan on cargurus that has sat at $25k for almost 2 years in PA.

These prices have been all over the place but some are crazy high IMHO!! I was lucky to find my replacement S4 for what I paid!!! (I got one a hell of a deal on it though since the guy didn't know the car well enough to realize it only needed a new fuel injector to get it tip top again) But, hell, once I swap everything stage 3 from the old one I might be tempted to sell it if some of these guys are getting their asking prices!

Seems reasonable for the
condition. I started staying
away from white & beige
interior Audi’s though.

It doesn’t hold up like the
black or sport interiors do
over time. Harder to keep
clean too.
