Hi All,
Can you guys provide some feedback on the purchase you made at any Audi dealers in Tri-State area? I would like to hear from you about the dealer's customer service and how much room for price negotiation.
I'm in Nassau county and I recently visited Biener's Audi. Their customer service is horrible. I asked them to give me appraisal of my 2010 Audi A4 Quattro with 32k miles on it. The guy did not even wanted to talk to me after he appraised my car. I saw a few used B8.5 S4 on the lot and they won't even bother make a deal with me.

I purchased my CPO 12 a4 P+ car from Huntington. I dealt with a salesman recommended to me by a tech I'm friends with. EROL was very pleasant to deal with, very down to earth. I would advise if you plan to finance have your own back up plan in place in case Mr evil finance manger (They all are) tries to change something. Your story with Biener is very common, I have a friend who once he purchased his 14 A4 SLine never returned to the dealer ship because of all the hassles they gave him.

I also did everything online through biener, test drove the car, then took it home that day. The sales guy, Flavio, I dealt with was great, but he isn't there anymore. I haven't heard anything good about their service department though. I bought a 2011 A4 from Smithtown audi back in 2011 and had a great experience with Chris Guy, but he is no longer there. I heard Atlantic Audi and Audi of Lynbrook (same owners as Atlantic Audi) are terrible, but I have had no experience with them. I've heard good things about Huntington.

Audi Lynbrook are great, I have plenty of experience with them from the GM, Finance dept, Sales & Service. PM me if you want people to work with.

I have my car serviced at Audi Huntington. Their CS seems to be excellent. I drive from Brooklyn to go there over Audi Brooklyn or Manhattan to avoid those disasters.

Thanks for the quick replies. I will give online deal a try.
Would you guys prefer purchase an used car from a new car dealership or from an used car dealership? I feel everyone is buying a new car these days and new car dealership has good business, hence it drives down the quality of their customer service?

I am a big fan of Huntington. I have purchased and serviced all of my cars there since 2004. They are great!

Smithtown was great from the sales side. Went back and forth via email then got a call. Over the phone they gave me the best deal. Only had to come in to sign papers and drive off.
Unfortunately their service drove me elsewhere

For used - I had excellent interactions with:
Northbay Imports (http://www.northbayimports.com/)
They specialize in Luxury Cars - but carry mainly Audi - and they also do service work as well - so any issues with the car they will handle if needed right on site. Hell - I hated the Grill on my car - and asked if they would swap it out - not a 2nd thought - they pointed out 4 other cars with possible selections and swapped it for no charge.
Ohh - and reasonably priced (read may not be the lowest of all) - and I do remember they won't negotiate - but can provide financing if needed.

I bought my car from Smithtown and only use them for scheduled service and warranty work. The salesperson I worked with retired a few years ago, so no specific name to pass along. Good CS overall.
From the sales side, I tried Biener, Lynbrook, Huntington, Legend and Smithtown. Legend was working out well until the salesperson up and quit. Smithtown was the only other dealer that was transparent with the numbers and would communicate freely by email. But that was almost 5 years ago....

Unfortunately their service drove me elsewhereTheir service is greatly improved from 2 or 3 years ago. There was a 12 month period or so where I was not pleased. Things have been stable for a while now.

Atlantic Audi now has a new service manager who came in a little less than one year ago. They are trying hard to improve on their CS so things have changed. I also know one of the mechanics there (ask for Shawn), so I talk with him directly and tell him about any issues I'm having.
But now I moved from the Queen's Long island area and live in Westchester. I've heard good things about eastchester Audi. I even went there to go check out a car for a friend and they were pretty nice (even though I drove my wife's Camry in). I'd like to get some more feedback about Westchester dealers though if there any.

All the dealers are shit around here, they try to jack you around right and left. Sales are horrible never answer the questions directly or chose to just plain ignore you. Service is on another level of mind blowing awfulness. Would not recommend any dealer around here whats so ever.

Is a manual S4 more in demand than an DCT? Most of used S4 at dealers are automatic rarely seen one that is 6 speed. Looked at Northbay Import and only found one S4 with a manual and it is pending sale.

Audi Brooklyn, TERRIBLE service and dealer. Went with a friend there who was shopping for an A8. Salesman did not know about the engine or features of the vehicle. Went there for service, car was given to me dirty and with a new found rattle.
Biener Audi, went there to look at Q3’s was told by the salesman that I did not want one and he couldn’t get one either way. Made it seem like I was bothering him by shopping for a car.
Audi Lynbrook, still calls me on my birthday after buying a car from them about 6 years ago. Never had an issue with their service department.

I would email bunch if dealers (copy paste) and see who is responsive and has good numbers. I have done this w several cars for friends, but I can never consistently day one dealer has done better. Fwiw I am main concerned with numbers, not service as you can go anywhere, and I just go to whomever is closest

Seems like a lot of you are still having service problems. Just a heads up my shop is located in Selden and I have multiple references on here. Nobody can beat my prices. Message me if you have any questions.

Customer service at Hoffman Audi was great for me. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
