I am going to paddleshift convert and vcds my auto/tip (steering wheel swap) looking at s line 3 spokes...
Can these be converted and completed without any airbag module inside the steering wheel at all? Personally I am not a fan of airbags and have not gotten around to disabling..

IF I need one in for the swap and can't vagcom around it would the stock airbag no paddle 3spoke stock wheel move over?

This car has been tuned pretty aggressively (custom tune only) and have been told by my shop he wouldn't personally do more on a b7 2.0t Quattro two reasons:
#1 cost
#2 these shouldn't be pushed much further.. without serious changes and money beyond a tune

Beautifully healthy car and motor. To see 50hp minimum gained, or bang per buck even if it's quite a bit more, what's the next logical thing?
(Haven't touched exhaust yet that's on the list).

Thanks

It’s tuned aggressively and can’t be pushed much beyond your tune? I mean, are you running 11s with it? Because if you’re not; there is a stock bottom end B7 in the 11s with bolt on parts. So, your shop is bullshitting you about pushing it. It’s not major money, but it is money to go quick. If you haven’t done your exhaust or cat, you don’t exactly have an aggressive tune, sorry to break it to you.

Back to the main topic. If you’re going from a 3 spoke to 3 spoke wheel, it’s nothing more than coding. The bag will fit and be plug and play.

Congrats on the healthy car. Before you do the exhaust, make sure all of your failure parts are to the newest revisions and swap your cam follower.

As an aside, I realize what I wrote sounded cruel. Didn’t mean it to be. Just wondering why your shop is telling you the platform can’t be pushed. What is in the car now?

Tuned aggressively for being stock otherwise (I've done susp. Big brake kit. Etc. Nothing to the motor however).

No problem pal, you're not breaking any news. In less than a week the custom exhaust/cat delete are finished.. more adjustments after the fact.

Put it this way: I have a track only supercharged s4, while I use my b7 a4 as a dd .. I would not choose this car again but have made a few changes and it Is growing on me. Because it is a dd, I'm not looking to run 11s. Beyond tune exhaust/cat delete... I'd rather not spend $5000 for 90hp If that is the figure.. it's a b7 a4... if guys are pulling things off effectively for less I'm interested. Not looking to blow a motor either.

Thanks for the answer to the first question. I'll swap my airbag over.
