I did an online chat with AOA last week.

1,239 MY 2014 Audi RS 5 COUPE 4.2 QUATTRO S TRONIC models sold in the US

310 MY 2014 Audi RS 5 COUPE 4.2 QUATTRO S TRONIC with PHANTOM BLACK PEARL EFFECT

296 MY 2014 Audi RS 5 COUPE 4.2 QUATTRO S TRONIC with PHANTOM BLACK PEARL EFFECT exteriors and BLACK interiors sold in the US

Audi of America does not have the information regarding production numbers. We can only research sales numbers. We were not able to pull any information for other Model Years without an actual VIN.

If any 2013 and 2015 RS5's can post their numbers, it would be nice to know the total sales in the USA ! You must supply your VIN#. It took two days before I received an email.

I have numbers for MY 2013 from AoA- "There were a total of 1,508 model year 2013 Audi RS5 Coupe’s with quattro and an S Tronic transmission sold in the United States."

AK_siberian posted numbers for AoA in regards to the MY 2015. Note, these were posted in June, so it's possible more may have been delivered after(?) - "Total number of MY 2015 RS5 Coupes delivered to the US: 627"

So approximately ~3375 coupes over three model years. Far more than initially planned/indicated (1500 total), but still super rare in comparison to something like the M3.

In regards to your inquiry, we can confirm that Audi Canada sold 227 RS5 Coupe (MY 2014) and 97 RS5 Cabriolet (MY 2014).

627 RS5's for US in 2015 of which 22 Misano Red all options except ceramic brakes. I think mine was the last one...

Based on the numbers, it sounds like there are 3374 RS5s currently sold in the US.

2013 - 1508
2014 - 1239
2015 - 627

I got the figure 2700 cabrios made in total. Also asked Audi Germany concerning coupes and got the answer that they don't answer that as you'd know. However roughly 3500 sold in the US means total production of 10-13.000 rs5 facelifted in total. There were 7000 rs4 b8s made and I see a lot more of them in Europe than I see rs5s so I am leaning towards 7500 coupes + 2500 cabrios. If almost half examples of a v8 car are sold in the us that makes sense to me

Exterior is Brilliant Black. It wasn't a standard RS5 color for 2015. A color you can find on an A3 or A4. Interior is the comfort seat option, nothing unusual. I bought this used

Thanks, I was imagining a non-conventional colour. I also bought my Prism Silver/Lunar Silver used, identical in options except mine is not Black Optics and have the 20" rotor wheels

There were 114 total 2015 Audi RS 5 Coupe 4.2 quattro Audi's with Suzuka Gray metallic exterior sold and 90 sold with a Suzuka Gray metallic exterior and a Black interior, which is what I drive.

They sent me slightly different USA data recently - more 2015 Coupes than the numbers above:
1453 - Model Year 2013 RS 5 Coupe 4.2 quattro models sold in the U.S. (0 Nardo)
1239 - Model Year 2014 RS 5 Coupe 4.2 quattro models sold in the U.S. (22 Nardo)
831 - Model Year 2015 RS 5 Coupe 4.2 quattro models sold in the U.S. (25 Nardo)

Here are the numbers for the spec we just picked up, I was surprised to see the Black Nappa Interior was less common than the the Lunar Silver on the Daytona Gray Models.

There were 1,508 2013 Audi 4.2 Liter Quattro Coupe RS 5 Sedans manufactured for sale in the United States, with 319 having the Daytona Gray Pearl Effect exterior color. 69 of those vehicles also come equipped with the Black Alcantara interior.
