I dont know where to put this, I looked at every sub forum and have an ECU question

Is there anyway to find out if your ECU is flashed with a file or "chipped" by a particular company?

Can I use Vag-com to find out this info if I hook up the ECU to my car and then the vag-com?

Could a dealer or anyone else tell me this information.

Sometimes you can tell through vagcom but that's only if they changed the description data you see when you connect. Otherwise you'll need to read the flash and find out that way.

Thanks for the reply, how would I go about reading the flash, is there another device that will do this or do I need a particular cord and computer program?

If you have a map sensor, you can also log your requested vs actual mbar.
