I have a 2007 Q7 with the 3.6L V6. The truck is fun to drive but I want to add some turbo fun to the my daily driver. I can't find too many upgrades available so I figure most of the upgrades will be custom fab. Anyone know where I can find upgrades to set up a turbo? Has anyone done one?

You can turbo just about anything. Question is would it be worth it. You need to understand this will all be custom. Then once you do spend the money to get a kit made, now you place your motor under jeopordy. I dont expect your stock internals to be that strong, which leaves little margin for error when it comes to tuning. And when it comes to tuning, that is a whole other ball game. Finding someone who will tune it is one problem. Then having your motor last afterwards or even during the tuning process is a whole other ball game. In other words, know what you are asking for.

I would not recommend it. I'd be worried about the transmission's ability to hold the power, on top of all the other issues. BUT, certainly possible. People have been turbocharging the VR6s for years.
My advice- upgrade to a 3.0T Q7, do stage 2 upgrade (pulley/software) and enjoy 450+hp while retaining the stock bulletproof reliability.
