Any instructions for Coding factory trailer wiring harness, with Parking sensors?

Hey Everybody,
i have a 2012 Avant. About to install the Westfalia trailer hitch and the Jaeger factory harness/control module. i do not believe the mechanical install of both will be a problem. I do think the coding of it, once everything is wired up, will be a little tricky. I do have a Ross-tech set-up for the car. Just struggling to find instructions for the coding. Can't seem to find anything.
Has anybody done this themselves, or are people having to have the dealer do it?
Any info would be appreciated.

I have been told that it is not this simple, and nobody seems to know the proper coding. So it may be I need to hit the dealer to have it sorted.

I have done this with the westfalia supplied trailer module on a 2014 allroad. you can get through it with the info here:

I can confirm that the parking sensors are disabled when you put it in reverse and the trailer harness is attached.
One potential problem is the trailer module is expecting a 7 or 13 pin trailer electrical connection. I have a 7-pin connection that works very well.
If you have a typical 4 pin USA style connection, there is a setting in the trailer module to account for this. I have heard mixed things about whether this works.

I'll repost the codings from post 14 and 30 on audi-sport below, because things tend to disappear from the internet.

It seems if you have ACC you need to do some more research perhaps compare coding from someone in Europe. Without ACC I had no problem.

Awesome, Thanks for the help here, that's pretty much what I have been hunting for. Seems like there will be more, or less, to do depending on how your vehicle is optioned. I will be taking a stab at it tomorrow. I do not have the ACC. I do have the Lane Departure System though, and I am not sure if that should get automatically disabled like the parking sensors. This is the info I was looking for, a great start anyway. Once I get mine sorted I will post up what I had for codes. Also, that other post on Audi-sport.net was a good find too, was able to get the p/n for the tow ball holder that goes in the spare tire well.

Hey everybody,
Got my B8 trailer coding cracked. There is no way to have a complete list of what needs to be changed based on how many different variations of options/equipment these cars were delivered with. So the short answer is there is not quick way to code it. Basically on a B8 you have to go through every control module and look at its long coding (every Bit and Byte), and check anything associated with "trailer" and check it "on". There are a few modules that have you change a digit (like ABS above). Also this car is North American market, so it may have some differences. I will need to calibrate the backup camera, but other than that it is working as intended (even the trailer lighting diagnostic, I indeed had a bulb out). in spite of the hassles of getting this Westfalia kit and wiring harness (don't go through "eurohitches.com" or OEM plus, they are horrible crooks), this is the set up you want to rock if you need to put a hitch on your ride.

My backup camera still comes on though when I'm in reverse, only the parking sensors are disabled.

Like you I basically went through every module in addition to the codings listed above, but I don't recall having to change anything else.
I think the difference may be lane assist, I don't have that, I only have side-assist.

PF Jones sounds like the contact most are going through to get them here. Sounds like that error is what I have, can't clear the code. Doesn't look too difficult to recalibrate the camera. I have access to a large format printer, so we'll see how that goes.
