Rough at cold idle

Hey guys. I just had a problem pop up in my '04 1.8T Quattro. When I start the car when it's cold it idles really rough, sometimes spitting out " bank 1 lean " and misfire codes. But if I feather the throttle for a couple minutes and get a little heat in the engine the car smooths out and runs pretty much like normal. Although it still has a random metallic pinging sound that it's running too rich. I'm thinking ( hoping ) it's either a MAF sensor or a vacuum leak. I just bought this car. I don't even have the new plates yet and I would LOVE to get it back to running normal so I can enjoy it.

I fixed it. Just so people can gain a little bit of knowledge about trouble shooting, Ill explain. After I bought my car I did a semi in-depth examination of the engine. Took off covers, checked coil packs, turbo...ect. What I did not do was tighten the hose clamp on the MAF sensor when I put everything back together. [headbang] The hose had popped off the MAF housing. Im now one happy camper !! [race]
