Cold start my 2001 audi a4 1.8t is silent sounds great. But the car reaches a good normal temp and makes a very sketchy light grind noise witch sound like it's coming from the head but I can't tell. It only occurs at 1200-1800 rpm and only in that range of rpm. This noise specifically starts when I hit 1200 rpm and does stop exactly at 1800 Rpm. I'm not getting any codes and it's running fine. Just this noise is annoying as hell. Can someone help or if someone has the same problem lead me to their help or tell me what is going on if they know what it is by now.
Thanks, Riley

Total guess, but cam chain tensioner? I vaguely remember hearing that a tell tale sign of a worn one is a rattly noise,

It's hard to diagnose noises over the internets. Get yourself a stethoscope and listen around the engine to isolate where it's coming from. Valve cover bolts/nuts are my favorite thing to listen to when tracking down upper end noises.
