Hi all. I have a 2002 Audi TT 180hp Quattro, and I have found out that performance parts for the 180hp Quattro and there but not like the 225hp. Its like the redhead stepchild for performance parts. When I find the parts it like "you want how much.... kiss me first or at least buy me dinner". So I'm on a quest to do my car. When I bought the car it already had a revo stage one and an APR cat back exhaust. So I thought I would start with the exhaust and replace the stock down-pipe and cats to a new 3” down-pipe and cat-less system. I looked at several web sites and ebay and pricey “Audi” sites, and found that they ranged from $180 to over $500. I’m looking at the down-pipes from all the cheap places on ebay and they all have the same canned picture of the down-pipe. I looked to find a web site to talk to a live person, like right, no sites only a buy now option. I looked at the pricey ones and I’m thinking its 2 pieces of 3” pipe with some welded flanges $500 I don’t thing so. I finally found a site that had an American address and phone number to talk to XS POWER, I called and talk to a real person that spoke English and decided to order the pipes. I asked what power gain will I see and like all the site 10-25hp. I plan on doing other mods to the car so I went to get a pre dyno to see what kind of power gain I can get. I got a 152.8 whp.
Within in a week the pipes came in. they look good, the tig welding is of good quality and all welds are complete, the pipe came with all the parts and the gaskets. I will put them on next weekend and have the dyno re-run to get a real life power increase. So stay tuned to this bat channel for the next follow up of the removal and installation of the pipes. I cannot post pics on this thread. so to see pictures go to same title under audiforums.com
