Just installed a set H&R Street Coilovers in my 2014 A5 coupe but I'm a little unsure of why the rear adjustments are so different from left to right. To give you a better idea of what I mean, here is a picture of the adjustment thread on the rear passenger side....

And here is one of the rear drivers side....

You can see a significant difference in the required adjustment from left to right to achieve the same ride height. My mechanic and I have gone over it a dozen times and cannot understand why this is the case. Spring, sill to ground and FTG measurements are identical on both sides and the car seems to drive fine. Curious if this is normal or any suggestions of what may be the cause for this?

Wow! Something is DEF wrong here. I'd almost pull both springs and check them. Are they they same size uncompressed? This looks like you got the wrong spring...like they sent you two different springs with two drastically different spring rates. No way you have the correct springs here of everything else is correct.

You could do a poor man's test...put both springs under identical load. Got some free weights? Go to the gym and throw 200 lbs on each one and measure the compression. If different you can prove you have a wrong or defective part from the vendor/manufacturer.

Thanks for your reply TinTexan. The springs looked identical uncompressed from memory. Here's a few other shots of them prior to installation.

I've now done approx 800 km with them in and they 'seem' to be fine, which makes it even more of a mystery as to why. When I have an opportunity (perhaps after Xmas) I'll pull them back out and find a suitable way to test the compression of each spring. Again, visually the product and installation look perfect.

Yeah...they look good to me as well. I noticed they have some markings on them - can you see enough of the spring when installed to confirm they are marked the same? If they are then I guess your only test is a compression test to confirm the spring rate...
