2003 A4 steering rack grease

While changing out front suspension links I notice that the steering rack end boot is badly ripped. Rack and grease does not look too bad but should I clean and regrease rack? If so what grease should be used?

Reaady to install new boot.

Mos2 grease. Preferably by Dow corning.
