I am running the new iGo Primo 2.4 software instead of the iGo8.
I will keep posting here for those that would want to try it in the future.

Downloaded from a different file. I was experimenting to see how I could fix my gps issue.

I have the S100 radio in a 2014 Dodge Ram truck with Igo 9 and have nothing but issues. The sys.txt file is causing issues. It will run with a stripped down sys.txt file but I lose most of the configurable features.
With the sys.txt file that came with the radio, it will load, I can configure but it wont sync with the GPS receiver.

I haven't messed with the iGo 9 besides 8 and Primo.
It would be nice to try it.
It's strange for the GPS part to be on auto.
Did you try to reset the GPS by having it look for signal?

It is Primo.
On other forums, people told me to change the baud and port settings. Port 2 (I also tried com2) baud at 9600. That didn't work either.
When running the Nav it just says "auto detecting" GPS signal and can never find it. With that shortened sys.txt file it does work tho.
I am just baffled.

The map built is your actual software version of primo you are running.
I have that one as well.
Head over to roadnav and see if a upgrade will do you better, or use a different primo version.

Just an update here.
You can use a 16 GB micro SD card for your navigation map/software. I have 3 different versions saved on my card, so the space was needed. I lost my card by taking it out and forgot it in my pocket. Now is no where t be found. Luckily I had made a copy of it.
I hope this helps someone in the near future if he/she decide to change theirs.
