Hey guys,

So I am a proud owner of a 2001 Audi A4 Quattro and as you all know.. our cars look ridiculously better when they have a lower stance. I am not completely new to the modding world but I am new to it as far as suspension goes.

I am considering buying lower springs for my car but I was hoping I could get a little advice/reviews from you guys. I am not looking for a huge drop considering this is my daily driver which led me to looking at the H&R Sport Springs Set. They would give me a 1.25" drop in the front and a 1.00" drop in the back.

So what I am hoping to hear from you guys is how exactly does installing lowering springs effect ride quality? Am I going to be losing much (if any) ride quality by installing lowering springs? I am looking to keep as much ride qualitly as possible as it is one of the many things I love about this car.

Another thing I was wondering was if lowering springs would cause more stress on other suspension parts (shocks/struts) causing me to replace those quicker. I am approaching the 100k mile mark on her so they are probably in need of replacing soon anyway.

Any thoughts, comments, advice, suggestions for me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

lowering springs will definitely cause more stress on your shocks/struts and being that you are near the 100k mile mark I would advise you to just replace them now being that you're already down there. just my opinion though, good luck!
