This is the greatest car I have owned to date and it sadness me that I have to sell it. I have owned M3's, RS4's and AMG's, but nothing compared to this RS5. I'm very passionate about the cars I own, thus I'd like to take some time to explain this one in detail.

Only 1,500 examples of the Audi RS 5 will find their way to U.S. shores over the remaining two years of the car's production run. Consider the RS5 a path to exclusivity, with every manufacturer ditching the V8, this could be the last of its kind.

It boasts a heavily modified version of the Lamborghini V8 that tops out at a stratospheric 8,500 rpm, and if you treat that number as a "shift here" indicator, you'll be rewarded with a soundtrack that's genuinely worthy of an Italian badge. The RS5 is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 that makes 450hp and 317lb-ft of torque. The sole transmission is a 7-speed dual-clutch automated manual.

The coupe-only RS5 generally offers the features of an S5 Prestige model, but it adds a number of RS-specific items. Mine comes with 20-inch optional titanium-finish wheels, H&R OEM Springs (for better stance), ECS-tuning Spacers (for a wider look), adaptive xenon headlights with LED accents, LED taillights, wide body exterior panels, an automatic rear spoiler, keyless entry with push-button start, a panoramic sunroof, carbon fiber interior trim, Bluetooth and iPod integration, the Multi-Media Interface system (MMI) and a 10-speaker audio system with an auxiliary input, an SD card reader, USB reader and satellite radio. Also Coded is DVD-in-Motion and some other tweaks. Just recently, the vehicle got it's professional tint Job to complete the look.

I've included a picture of the original Sticker which shows all the options that came from the factory. Added to that is the Audi-Care maintenance program and optional Wheel and Tire protection that's good for the remainder of the warranty, 4 years or 50K miles. Perfect car for any car enthusiast.

Nice car. But Lamborghini hasn't had a V-8 in their line-up for over 25 years, not sure where that bit came from.

From every Web page that talks about this engine. Even Jeremy Clarkson said it on Top Gear... Either way, the engine is magnificent piece of art.

He definitely did not. Like I said, the last Lambo V-8 was a 3.5L in the Jalpa in 1988.

The engine does share quite a bit of architecture with the VAG 5.2L V10 (found in the R8 V10 and the Gallardo/Huracan) though. Agreed, having driven one, it's certainly one of (perhaps the) last great naturally aspirated V-8s.
