FS: 1998 Audi A4 Quattro 5-speed sedan - Midwest (http://www.panjo.com/buy/fs-1998-audi-a4-quattro-5-speed-sedan-midwest-49364)
This car isn't giving me headaches anymore, so I guess I better sell it... start it out at $3800. More likely to take a lower offer if it's sooner rather than later.
1998 Audi A4 Quattro sedan
2.8 30v engine, 5-speed manual transmission, 199k miles, clean title
At 196,xxx miles the car got a lot of new items:
-clutch
-pressure plate
-throw out bearing
-pilot bearing
-rear main was re-sealed
-oil pan gasket
-valve cover gaskets
-PCV system
-chain tensioner runners
-chain tensioner gaskets
-oil cooler seal
-camshaft seals and plugs
-spark plugs
-fluids (oil, coolant, power steering)
-filters (oil, air, cabin)
-drivers and passengers side heated mirrors
-exhaust down pipe gaskets
Other work done recently:
-timing belt
-front main seal
-water pump
-thermostat
-control arms
-springs and shocks
Interior:
Very clean black heated leather, no rips, tears, stains, or wear spots. It has the thick rubber winter floor mats. 3-spoke sport steering wheel. OEM Bose stereo with 6-disc changer. I added an AUX-IN port, hidden inconspicuously down by the e-brake handle.
Exterior:
Factory silver paint. There are some light scratches here and there, nothing alarming. A good detail and buff would take them all away. No rust. All panels looks to be aligned very well.
Engine:
Runs well, has good power (190hp) and pretty good gas mileage. It is throwing one single engine code for a rear O2 sensor. There is an airbag light on that I pulled a code for, looks to be a common issue with an easy fix that I will take care of before the car leaves my possession. Slight stumble at idle.
Brakes:
Smooth and good stopping power.
Wheels/Tires:
Stock wheels, all season tires with a good amount of tread left. Went through the snow with ease. Some light curb rash.
Suspension:
Lots of newer parts as listed above, replacement parts were purchased and installed by the previous owner. All OEM parts from Audi. I have an S4 rear sway bar for it, but I have not installed it yet.
Transmission:
5-speed manual, shifts very nice. Replacement clutch kit was from Sachs. The old clutch was in the car for roughly 100,000 miles and still had a lot of life left. All axels and boots are solid, no tears or grease splashes. Short shift kit to liven it up a little.
HVAC:
Heat works great, A/C also works but it hasn't been hot enough to really test it out yet. Fan is silent, all the controls work as they should. Rear defrost lines work great.
It's really been a good car, but now I'm on to other things. Let me know if you have questions.
I may be open to trades, no projects, and no junk. Bonus points if it's a Volvo V70. Super extra bonus points if it's a V70 with a manual transmission. Not afraid of working on cars, so doesn't need to be perfect, but needs to be around the same price point or +cash on your end.
