iPod Adapter

Are there any alternatives to having the iPod adapter in the glove box? It is so annoying to reach.

I just leave an iPod in there and keep my phone in the center console. I only take the iPod out once in a while to synch / update. I also have an adapter and short USB cable for phone charging in the center console 12-volt socket whenever I want to charge my iPhone. That's the only solution I came up with as I know of no way to get iPod / iPhone integration outside the glove box.

I use the nano and leave it there. Cheap on CL.

I got a longer cable and brought it down inside my center console and then pulled it up between my driver seat and the console.
