What is Shelf life for these plastic bottles. I assume that standing in a garage for a year does not help. Thanks.

A little blurb from Castrol here states (http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/faq/BrakeFluidComparison.html) no longer than 2 years in an "Unopened" container, which has not been subjected to extreme temperature fluctuations. I suspect that with our inconsistent Chicago weather those bottles may have expanded and contracted enough to cause seals to breach, and the fluids to absorb atmospheric moisture.
