2007 B7 On New Years night I happen to take a turn a little too hot. Immediately after I hit the curb I noticed almost every time I apply the brakes there is a ratchet clunking noise coming from the tire that hit the curb. Also my steering wheel is turned slightly to the right. I'm not sure if an alignment would fix the issue, but that is next on my list. I have had multiple shops look at the suspension and brakes and cannot come up with a answer. I have heard it could be a bearing, something could be bent that is not visible to the eye, maybe bent the rim. Anyone have an idea of what it could be? I am open to suggestions at this point. I feel like this should be an obvious problem with a quick solution.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/01/y7ynygut.jpg

It's likely coming from one of a couple things; all of which should be easily identified by any mechanic with front end experience. They should check or bent tie rods, and worn parts before doing the alignment, which you surely need. Any of those parts that are worn/damaged will need to be replaced before an alignment.
With regard to the clunking... My guess is it will be related to a suspension issue. You may have damaged a control arm or strut. The force applied when braking may be causing the clunk. When you go in for the alignment the tech should be able to shake down the front end components and identify the source of your clunk.
In the mean time, drinking and driving my might not be your thing... A cab would surely have been a cheaper prophylactic. Don't mistake my advice for a lecture, I've spent countless amounts of money by having a little too Much happy during a happy hour. Trust me cabs are way cheaper! Best of luck with the ride. Cheers!
