Has anyone tried these?

My shocks are about done and I was just gonna get Koni yellows, but then I saw these.

Call me crazy, but I'm just not a huge fan of installing relatively unknown coil overs on a performance vehicle like an S4. I would opt for a high quality spring and shock combination instead.

I'm not trying to be argumentative here, but doesn't a review necessitate the synthesis of an individual's opinion?

There is another thread with reviews.
FKs have been around for awhile although not as well know as Bilstein, Koni, KW... etc. FKs use Koni struts for majority of their coils.

The highsports on ecs for 500 don't use koni shocks, the ones for about 1000 do though but to me if your spending 1000 there's better more reputable brands for the same price

I run the highsports and they have been great for me. I've installed on 2 other cars an A4 and a GTI. I like how mine rides. They ride well but in my opinion they would not be good for tracking purposes.

An employee of ours runs FK's on his S4 and has had nothing but good things to say about them. They are a German made coilover, allow a nice drop, and for street use provide great handling and ride quality.
These, like the stock suspension, can be used on the track - but if your intentions are more competitive track use than once a year joy rides I might suggest a more track inspired coilover like a KW V3 or Bilstein PSS9.

They ride every so slightly more stiff than OEM. The struts are valved slightly stiffer than OEM simply to allow for the drop but are not adjustable. The spring rates on the springs are also stiffer as well but not significantly so.

Slightly stiffer than stock, adjustable height, cheaper than 4 new struts alone. Sounds like a win.

In your opinion, what's wrong with the Koni yellows?

If you're in the market for some entry level coilovers, consider our Vogtland coilovers. They're a very good entry level kit, great height adjustability and they ride very nice. We do also offer free shipping on KONI Sport shocks, and with our holiday sale going on, you can save some money on them. (Posted in the Vendor Sale/Announcement forum)
