A new OE housing is about $200 or so USD. I could see a shop charging a couple of hours labor to replace. This would put it in the $500 range for parts and labor.

If it is where you are leaking from do not waste your time with off brand housing. Lots of documented issues. Get the OE one.

OK thanks for the info. Is it the kind of thing that would break over time? I had an oil change about a month ago but that shop does mostly domestic cars. They told me they didn't even have the filter on hand so that made me a bit uneasy. I took it to another shop this week that deals only with Euros and a day after is when I found the leak. I'm just wondering if it's a usual part that fails eventually or is it a part that can break during an oil change if the mechanic is not careful?

They fail. It’s a common issue unfortunately. The plastic wraps over time because of the heat exposure.

Would a complete B8 steering wheel and airbag be plug & play in B7s?

No. You need to repin the airbag harness by swapping your B7 plug onto the B8 harness. After that, yes. Plug and play

Will it be obvious what I have to do when I have them both in front of me? I tried looking for a DIY but the photos are all gone

Fairly obvious, yes. Pin 1 to pin 1, pin 2 to pin 2, etc. The wiring is the same, but the plug itself is different and that's why it needs to be switched.

Awesome, thanks man. I just didn't want to get involved with soldering wires together and shit in something as critical as the airbag

Nope, no soldering required if you have a depinning tool. Just pop it out of one plug and into the other

Finally got the car up on a hoist yesterday while it was in for an oil change. I tried to get pictures of the DV to see if I have the old version. Unfortunately I couldn’t get in there enough to get any part numbers. I’m thinking it’s original because of the rust on the screws but that might not be an accurate assumption. My car is an 06 just wondering what you guys think?

How difficult is it to install the under-seat memory modules/motors for memory seats? My front seats are both powered, and I found a memory switch and door card harness, but can't find a photo of the shit that goes under the seat

Edit: All DIYs I've seen so far have been photofucked, but it sounds like there's a motor and wiring that accompanies each seat position motor. So this might not be worth it without recaros

If I need to recode the J519 module, is it just the 5 digit code that needs to be updated?

Picked up a used one from a sedan, but need to code for an Avant. As far as I can tell it's just the 5 digit code, but want to be certain before swapping them out.

Yeah I think I have the version with the diaphragm. I just wanted to be sure before I got the newest version and then go to swap it out and it was already done. Nonetheless I think the price is not wildly expensive so I’m going to get this done probably around Feb-Mar of next year.

Guys my friend bought a b7 today and i went with him to kind inspect to how the car was. it is mint 116k for $2500. we knew the car had a misfire when i plugged in my obd11. didn't throw a code for the cam follower so i told him to get it. so we went to autozone and got 4 new coils and spark plugs ngk bk7re. so the car still misfires in cylinder #2 #3 & #4. switched coils around to no avail. this are the codes i got. any help? seems like he needs an N80 and pcv valve. but will these cause misfires? Oh i forgot to add is only on idle. When you drive it or on wot is drives normal 🤔 just trying to help my friend out.

Carbon clean maybe?
The car drives good and has performance it doesn't seem boggy or lacking power what so ever. That is why i'm thinking like hmm..also when the car was running i tried to take off my oil cap and it was like tight as hell..i had to turn the car off first to take it off. Wanted to do that to inspect the pcv for whistle but i couldn't take it off.

^^Hmmm...that's a new one. Never heard of it before.

relay is clicking only when the car is off and doors unlocked, I park the car at 6pm (relay is clicking) , come back at 6 am , (still clicking).

Ive noticed the dome light is flashing in same time as the relay clicks.

Turn off maually the switch for front and back (avant) dome light; still clicking.

Probably a short in the LED on reading light or foot light...

But all of them are working. Very stange. Door locked : no clicking sound.

Its loud enough to ear it clearly from the inside or outside.

Is the easiest way to confirm whether or not I have heated and/or anti dazzle/auto dimming side mirrors by popping off the glass and looking at the number of plugs? It's an option on my wheel well sticker (6XK), but I've never noticed it in action.

As far as i know They run on low speed once you switch on the aircon cooling / heating.
It doesn’t make sense why they run when you crank the temp high but may they stop spinning at some point.

Plunger not sold separately unless it's hpfp upgrade. Buy used from someone that upgraded.

Should. As long as he can get the die on it. There’s a tool that comes with the die that obviously won’t fit in this situation. Just use a socket over the die and use some lubricant (motor oil is good) to help the die along. Use the tap on the original nut to make sure you have the correct thread and pitch as well as to clean out the threads in the nut.

Radio is rns-e retrofit and steering wheel was upgraded to FBSW 18 months ago. Battery tested fine and pulled the radio to check the wiring

The brass fittings are avalable online. I was able to re thread this using a pick file I think is what it was called. by hand re cut the threads which were damaged. Try searching eBay uk for it. The shitty part re threading brass is that it will likely only be good for 1 more install as the soft material will usually cross thread while your trying to tighten it back together. I know I ordered this when I found it. Around the same time a used damaged hpfp was on here and the owner sold me that part.

Planning on doing an interesting wheel setup (staggered on a quattro and yes I know it’s not the optimal choice) but to be fair they are OE wheels and the stagger is very minimal (19x8.5 Front and 19x9 Rear). What tire sizes are recommended I go to keep within this 5% rolling diameter everyone speaks of for staggered setups? I’m assuming I’ll be ok with the standard 235/35 all around since the stagger is so small?

It is a momentary switch. If you want to make it into an on/off switch then you’ll have to wire in a latching switch/relay like this one.

Thanks, figured it was a momentary switch, I had found a couple posts saying it was not, but the majority say that it is. Not sure I want to spend $50+ on an on off switch!! Might just pick up something like this (http://www.wiringproducts.com/illuminated-round-rocker-switches-red.html) and mount it where the cigarette lighter is in the ashtray.

No. Unless the hole is huge the only thing you would have to worry about is the exhaust falling off. Other than that it will just be louder.

From my experience, a small hole wont effect much and should be safe to drive on. I've had a small leak in my exhaust for over a year and its just slightly louder and occasionally you smell it more because its not being directed behind the car.

On my 08 A4 Cab I am getting a rattling from front drivers wheel when going over bumps and the little lane turtles. Have jacked up the front and checked for play and all was tight. If it is the brake pads should I just replace them? It appears that the pads all around were changed prior to me purchasing and they put on ones that after 1000 miles leave a red dust all over the rims. Thanks in advance.

Is it just a tiny little rattle?
Probably just the guide pins on the front brakes. Can lube them up a bit

Change them, even if its for the red dust issue. As Jimmy said, relube everything (do a brake job) and install new pads making sure the anti-rattle clips are installed.

haha ok I’ll give that a try. I just need it to work for 1-2 months till I get my vagcom. Did the gauges and ESP start working after a restart?

There is a fix for this, the issue lies in the canbus system and these OBD interfering with it.

These OBD units autoscan for open (lets call them channels) while plugged in but sometimes they will see an open channel that the canbus is not currently using but when the canbus request the same channel address that OBD took all shit goes haywire. It is sort of like a router assigning IP address automatically and all of a sudden the IP is taken but it still tries to connect and then you get message there is a duplicate IP conflict. Same thing happens with the Canbus system.

The fix is simple, in the settings(APP) you must find out which channel the unit is on and manual set it so it always sticks to the same channel. Not sure if every B7 is different or they all use the same channel(car is sleeping across the country but when back home I can get the correct channel my car uses without issues and you can try using it)

This fix also works on newer GM's and may work on other cars as well, I stumbled upon this by accident one day when my GMC shut itself off driving down the road just complete shutdown. Turn off and back on and life was good again then it did it again a short while after a restart. Removing OBD car worked as intended. I had tried 6 different kinds ranging from $20-$150 all did the same thing.

Hopefully this is my good deed for the year.

Anyone know about car starters?
How low does a battery need to be for the car starter to not start the car?
It’ll start when using the key, but at times the car starter won’t engage.

This happened when temps were around zero degrees.

I have a CEL with the following codes:

P2261 - 008 - Mechanical Malfunction
P0420 - 002 - Efficiency Below Threshold - MIL ON

In another thread (What did you do to your b7 today) many gave some great advice, so today Im trying to troubleshoot some more....

Trying to measure O2 sensors to see if there is a fault or some irregular behavior with them.....

With the latest release of VCDS(17.8.1), I could only find Bank 1 Sensor 1 Status, and Bank 1 Sensor 2 status.

Car is idle here.

Car is idle, then I step on gas a few times...
https://s10.postimg.org/5m1v0z4ll/Capture2.png

Then I do a vechile info - and get the data below.... Why is O2 Sensor monitor bank 2 0???

Type 04 - Calibration ID : 8E1910115G Q0010 (Address E8)
Type 06 - Calibration Verification Number : 3164C184 (Address E8)
Type 08 - In-use performance tracking :
OBD Monitoring Conditions Encountered count : 6201
Ignition cycle count : 14366
Conditions completion count / Specificied conditions encountered count
Catalyst monitor bank 1 : 5526 / 6198

O2 Sensor monitor bank 2 : 0 / 0
EGR-VVT monitor : 12233 / 6201
AIR monitor : 0 / 0
EVAP monitor : 626 / 1266
Type 0A - Controller Name : ECM-Engine Control (Address E8)

I have a new N249 and O2 spacer on the way...... Is this expected or is there an issue with the 2nd O2 sensor? Maybe the spacer will change that? [wrench][:/]

Thanks!

What are my options for remote starters? I’ve got a 2006 A4 Quattro 6 Spd manual. I’m asking because I know one of my previous cars I couldn’t put a third party starter because of the factory alarm. My only option was to get it installed at the dealer or so I was told that in the forums for that car.

While trying to lock my car (before actually buying it), I accidentally ran it into the wall of the parking garage. No significant damage, but I was pissed. I promptly removed the batteries from that fob and used the key to lock/unlock and then ripped that alarm and remote start out of the car as soon as I got the chance.

Garage, parking garage, close enough. Despite the small accident I thought it was a good story at the time. I park in my garage so even with an auto it's probably not the best idea to have remote start. But my old beamer had two timers you could set that would use electric coils to heat the car before you got in. No emissions there

If you dig hard enough a long time ago there was a thread that someone actually dynoed their car and it ended up gaining somewhere around 50 hp and ya I believe it could’ve even been a tiny bit more, but it may have been they dynoed their car doing a revo stage 2+ tune and they still got more power from the jhm 1 tune

So I recently had a shop so some work on my car and now my RNSE is asking for a PIN number. I'm guessing this is because the battery was disconnected. I've had the battery disconnected plenty of times before and it never asked for a PIN. Nonetheless I need a PIN number, does anyone know the process of getting the number. I have heard you need to go through AOA. Is this true? Any help would be appreciated. I have VAGCOM so I am able to get the serial number of the unit.

What's up guys,

I purchased a P3 Gauges VIDI and installed it a few days ago. When I cycle through to see my throttle reading it is showing 13 while the car is at idle. Is this normal? Should it be at zero? The car does have a stage 2 REVO tune w intake, test pipe & down pipe, not sure if these play a factor. Any help would be much appreciated.

The reason why I got 18” in the first time is that to keep everything as OE as possible.
What I need to know if I were to go 19”? Speedometer ? What else , I know a lot of you running 19”.....

Nothing really. Same as 18s. Don’t got wider than 255s on tires. Watch the offset. But really there’s nothing to worry about. Tires will cost slightly more for 19s. It’s just not a common size but I’ve been running various 19” rims for 12 years now.

Just changed the car battery and had to reprogram the fob afterwards. Everything works again EXCEPT the remote windows up/down feature. Used vagcom to check the central convenience comfort system value and it is in and correct (default value +64). Tried updating it again anyway, no luck. Anyone know what the issue is and how to resolve it?

You may have to put the window up and down holding the switch a little longer to set the 'pinch points'

But taillights, 2 on each side. One body side and one on the trunk side.

Can a B6 5 speed Quattro auto tranny work in the B7? I may have to total my B6, and some cheap B7s are on CL, but FWD. I know the Quattro system is mechanical, and the tranny should physically fit, but I'm just wondering if there's something odd I haven't thought of. Are the Quattro gas tanks the same between the B6 and B7? Do I need the B6 TCM, or just code the B7 one?

I know most of you will say "just buy a Quattro," but I have more time than money or sense.

Theres a DIY on here about FWD to AWD conversion. Its B7 to B7 I believe but that will give you parts required. Just cross reference the part numbers.

My father's on the market for a summer car , and he's hesitating on 3 models. Budget around 100k $.
Used, because he wants a manual car. here the choices, what are your opinion :

- Audi R8 spyder 4.2
- Gallardo spyder
- 911 cabrio.

As per my search, R8 and gallardo are hard to find under 100k.
Much more 911 on the market, and cheaper.

My pick would be the 911 since we can get a 2+2.

Personally I'm biased because I LOVE the Audi R8. If I won the lottery tomorrow I would buy an R8 over a Lambo, Ferrari or Bentley in a heartbeat. So my vote goes for the R8 but ofcourse it has to be in the budget. Who cares about a midlife crisis. The saying might be overused but you do only live once. I've got an iPad and I've got a knock off ELM OBD port wifi scanner. I tried to use it this weekend when my MIL came on. I've got OBD Fusion and EOBD-Facile. The iPad connects to the scanner over wifi but when I try either app they don't do anything. Fusion won't connect at all while Facile connects but when I try to run a scan for DTCs it comes up with no codes. What kind of settings are you guys using? I've got Torque on an Android device so I might try that later today and see what happens. I also have a cheap USB cable from my days with my B5 Passat but I don't think that will work on anything after a certain year. I might give it a shot just to see what happens. I'm going to get the vagcom cable because I get a discount but that wont happen until Spring/Summer.

the police detained my registration certificate because I had the technical inspection expired and when I was to do my inspection they saw that I did not have the engine in the identity card (2.0tdi BPW euro 4) the engine was changed by the former owner with a 1.9 ATJ euro 3, and they said they can not approve it because it is not the euro 4 my question is if it matches a 1.9 BKE engine with the gearbox and the quattro transmission,

This would probably be a better question on a local forum. Most members here are in the US and we didn't receive any of the TDI engines, nor do we have to confirm to Euro 4 emissions standards. I can tell you that it should physically bolt up fine, but anything beyond that I don't know. Sorry

Yes, they will fit but most people, myself included, find that 19" wheels look funny on stock suspension

This question starts on Tuesday. My gas light came on. I was lazy and planned to put gas the next morning. Overnight it was COLD like -30s. The next day when I started the car it was misfiring. I went to the gas station got some gas in a gas can. After I put it in the car I started up and after about 5 minutes the misfire was gone.
I filled the tank and took a blast up the highway. I figured maybe condensation in the tank from the freezing temps and low gas in the tank. I haven’t driven the car since Tuesday. I start it up today and I have this light on
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180111/61df7a1bad7a5a58593c6731707ffbae.jpg
I checked the DTCs and it’s only registering a P0301(Cylinder 1 misfire). I checked the oil and I added like a quarter of a bottle.

Does anyone know if the wiring from the EVAP leak detection pump comes into the vehicle at an obvious spot in the trunk, changed mine out today as I had been getting a P2404 code. When I dropped the fender liner this fell out:

https://i.imgur.com/CJWiBFU.jpg

Not had a chance to drive the car yet, but hopeful that the CEL is gone. I could not see any entry points into the vehicle from the LDP side of things, other than where the wiring goes, but I also know mice can get through a tiny hole. Want to make sure they have not messed with anything inside that area in the trunk.

While down there as well I noticed the bump stops are destroyed on the ST coils. While I know bump stops can be replaced, what should the ST bump stops be replaced with?

from what I’m seeing online orange means it might be the sensor. Red means it’s the oil pressure and is critical. My dad could check and replace the sensor but not until the weather is better. I saw someone else said orange might mean the oil screen might need to be cleaned or something. I’m just trying to figure out if I can wait until Spring or get it looked at now?

Well $80k USD is about $101k AUD, plus you guys have higher average income than us, sooooo.

Exchange rates are not how you work this out. The proper metric is puchasing power parity (PPP) and even this has issues with imported goods (e.g. cars) - transport and taxation increases overall cost over and above PPP.

Currently (2016 figures) the USD to AUD PPP is 1.486 (https://data.oecd.org/conversion/purchasing-power-parities-ppp.htm).

So overall for an Australian living in Australia to have the same 'lifestyle' as a person earning $80K in USA, the Australian needs to earn $120K.

That is because things are more expensive here, currently at about a rate twice that nominal USA rates.

Using the R8 example, $300,000 AUD car should cost just over $200,000 in USD in USA. What you guys are saying is, essentially it is more than half that, which supports the PPP calcs above.

I remember when I lived in USA, the cars that people had were amazing and then you think "they must be rich"... until you see what they cost lol.

Even today the average B7 is twice the nominal amount here. :(

Likely a bearing. You can jack the car up and push and pull and on the wheel. There should be relatively no play. Look up a video on it real quick and it’ll show you an example of what I mean. Also, you should hear the noise most when you load up that wheel when turning. Meaning if your turning right you’re left wheel is loaded with the weight and you would hear it then and vice versa.

Field 2: Fuel Rail,Pressure (actual): 55% or below is normal at idle
55% to 60% is a gray area, it may be okay, but may indicate a problem
Above 60% implies there is a failure or restriction
Causes of low pressure can include kinks or restrictions in fuel lines
Fuel filter issues including restricted/clogged or incorrect part number
Failing lift pump in fuel tank. We have seen numerous cases of sub-standard quality "factory" replacements in "factory boxes" that were obtained from aftermarket sources and are not sourced from official dealers. This led to troubleshooting problems that were solved by installing correct factory parts. We encourage customers to only install lift pump and fuel filter sourced directly from a VW/Audi dealer.

Is this a failing alternator pulley? My car started squealing (sounds like a belt squeal to me) as I released the accelerator about 25 minutes into my 30 min drive home. Sounded like an embarrassing old junker when pulling up to stop signs and would get worse as I idled and would go away as soon as gas was applied. I checked out the serpentine with engine running but was difficult to pin point the sound. The TB, water pump and serp belt were replaced a month ago. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1pIVdHUzYOorVxooF-EcoLJRmPW5w30bohttps://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1vjddme1aT3WtfWWfuMOxThq9a09DSxMS

Business as usual for the most part. There were only 2 days that were so cold I refused to drive it.

OK so since I posted the warning I got I’ve been staying at the inlaws. The car hasn’t been driven since that day. This morning I go out and following instructions on Pelican Parts I pull fuse 5 which is supposed to be for the sensor. The fuse looked fine and when I started up after the warning was still there. I shut it off but 3-4 hours later when I started it up to clean the car off the warning is gone. I haven’t scanned it yet for codes. I checked the oil again and it is at Max. I’ve got it on the charger and I’ll see if the warning comes back.
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180111/61df7a1bad7a5a58593c6731707ffbae.jpg

Now when I started it up and cleaned it off my shifter was completely frozen in place. Anyone had that happen before? The car had to run for about 30 minutes then I could move it normally. When I say frozen I mean completely rock solid.

Anyone know anything about 034 adjustable control arms? My car came with a set installed and I rebuilt them over the summer (new joints and bushings) and I had my car in the shop recently and the guy tells me that one of the arms is bad and isn’t staying seated in the spindle where the punch bolt is supposed to hold them in place.

Is this likely due to installation error? Either the pinch bolt not being tight enough or somehow the heim joint wasn’t installed fully correctly into the arm itself? I find it unlikely that it has gone bad after only a little more than 3months (plus the reason I had the car in the shop is that I have a suspension clunk that has been there since around the same time I did the arms and haven’t been able to resolve it; this mechanic is indicating this is the source, leading me to believe the arm would have had to have been bad the whole time it’s been in the car).

I’m just really confused by this whole thing and im considering just ditching those arms altogether and putting in stock replacements, but the labor involved in doing so is a little more than I want to dish out right now.

How come people claim that beige leather seats will have a lower resale value?

Is this based on a fact or just conjecture?

Probably just based on demand. As an owner of Tan/Beige interior swapping to Black. I don’t think there are many looking to swap the other way.

Supply and demand. Most people want black interior. Beige seats therefore are going to be a harder sale, thus command a lower price.

Based on years of us trading, buying and selling parts. Light seats get less because they are less desirable to a lot of people. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Most likely not, but do 245/35 instead which is closer to the original rolling circumference.

Say what? 235/40/18 is the OEM size and not at all stretched on an 8.5" wide wheel.

There's at least 20 wires connecting the seat to the chassis and the heat is a separate plug from the power functions. It's possible the power one wiggled loose or it actually pulled a wire out of the plug. Time to unbolt the seat and double check them all

Yes 235/40/18 is an OEM setup and it will not stretch on a 8.5’ wheel, Cool.

If I use 245/40/18, still OEM overall diameter but a bit wider, will it rub ? I see I have enough space but thought to ask, hence the thread title :)

Here is a picture, there are three, you need to remove the driver underside dash trim, not sure which one is for the seat power, test all of them with a multimeter

You will have to test and see if you rub, most likely not but be aware that it's definitely not OEM diameter. Those are technically 8mm taller. A ~1.22% difference. Not significant but not the same

If my outside door handle on the drivers side sometimes fails to work (inside works perfectly) and all the wiring in the boot looks to be fine, what could be preventing the outside handle from working? Question, just thinking out loud but how come no one has came up with a better fueling solutions for our cars? I read daily about BT builds that just end or die because of fueling. seems the LP side has fixes but not the high pressure without more cam follower wear. Why has no one looked into a belt driven hpfp? Or a dual hpfp adapter housing that bolts to the factory location and allows the follower to push a plate that pushes both pistons? Also secondary port injection via intake manifold spacer? Just run a second pump with supply and return to the tank, and tie it in with megasquirt, spit second, or torqbyte? I mean hell Honda 1.5l single cams can make 500hp! We should be able to push farther..

I’m thinking you got the forge spacer which all you need to do is take off the stock diverted valve (it’s three Allen screws, one is really hard to reach) install the spacer in its place and put the stock diverter valve over the spacer and use the newly supplied Allen screws. Do you have a picture of what you have?

What is normal boost levels for a stock A4? My car is all stock and I've got an Android device with Torque along with an ELM scanner. I've been driving with it since yesterday and I haven't spent much time in boost. When I blip the throttle or get on it then it does go into boost highest I hit for a split second was 15 and then it fell off to 10. I've hit 9-10 a couple times but consistently I'm doing 2-6 psi. Now my drive is not very long (10 minutes) and it's on city streets so I'm doing around 60-70 KM/H. I did get on the highway this morning but there was traffic so it's not like I could get a good run. I was able to hit 10 psi but again only for a couple seconds then it started to fall. I've got to get a boost gauge but that won't happen until it gets warmer.

I wouldn’t trust any readings from an app. Buy a legit boost gauge. But stock boost is around 10-12 PSI. Also, keep in mind that peak boost might decrease in cold weather climates in the winter. It takes less boost to make the same power when it’s cold out. Dense air. I wouldn’t expect a 10PSI drop in cold weather but like I said, I would never trust an app for boost readings.

What you really should do is return it and run a proper DV. BOV’s are terrible.

Alright thanks. I know I need a proper boost gauge but I just wanted to know if it sounded at least a bit normal or if it sounded wildly inaccurate. I'm not putting too much stock in it since like I said my drives are really short and pretty slow. Once it gets warmer out I've got a new rev DV to install and definitely getting a boost gauge.

However the anti roll bar when it was test fitted, the holes on the bushing straps don't line up (I was told). So dumb question is there another piece that I need (subframe or a S4 widget of some description).

Either it has its own mind or could be a sensor issue.

But either way, I like the settings of it.
I can choose what vent to use.

Fwiw I have 245/40/18s on 8.5" wheels, H&R Sport Springs, no rub but I did have to remove the 12 o'clock screw on the front fender liner.

What I could find,.... someone says: 5/8-11 with RH thread

Nothing in the Bentley manual about size...

Going to attempt the coolant flange and thermostat change. Below is a list of stuff that I read are necessary besides basic tools. I feel like I’m missing some other items. What do you guys think.

Coolant Stuff:

- Hose clamp pliers
- Timing cover gasket
- Anti-seize
- Extra gaskets
- Flashlight

TIA AZer’s

I think I picked one up from HF. Really helped having something that easily fit back there to get the screws out.

Also you need a 5mm triple square to get the hardline screws out for the thermstat job. Did it yesterday, so fresh in my mind.

The easy one to see is just to the left of the threaded cable strap post, i have the ratchet on the second one in the pic. Didn't get a good shot of the screw itself, but you get the idea.

Thanks, I’ll give it a go and if it works I’ll post a small thread about it.

Oh sweet thank you! I’ll definitely be looking at that driver bit wrench. And thanks for the pics, it gives a side good view.

Thanks! All of my searches on Autotrader wouldn't let me select a wagon body style and I thought I remembered Audi dropping avants other than the Allroads.

Sure it will, you must be missing it. There are 7 3.0T C6 A6 avants listed nationwide.

Yeah, just nothing within 200 miles of me was probably the problem.

Can anyone confirm a part number for me? I'm a bit confused about what body parts were on the fake s-line 2008 like I have.

My rear door blade is rusting and popping out bad. I believe I need 8E0853970E 7DL (labeled as w/o S4) but am not sure. Also, is this everything or is there an interior part to this I'll need?

If you want a rare car you need to be willing to travel to get it. We went 1200 miles to get my wife's avant

Can't help on the PN but there is a DIY around here somwhere to repair that without replacing it. Basically you remove the inner metal frame from the outer plastic, cut out and seal any rust, and glue it back together. No interior parts needed either way
