View Full Version : Tighten at Ride Height Advice
So i had HR OE springs installed by a shop on my B8.5 S5 and they tightened everything while car was on the lift and not at ride hide, i then happened to read somewhere this is bad, so im gonna take it back to the shop and tell them to redo it correctly, i just want to make sure what exact parts need to be tightened at ride hide so they dont miss anything and i can control it all.
Thanks

Probably the only point affected is the upper control arms up front...they likely did not need to loosen any other bolts/nuts to install the springs. But if they did loosen any of the control arm bolts (front or rear, upper or lower) , then they need to be tightened at ride height. The bushings will wear out quickly if not tightened at ride height...they may try to tell you it doesn't matter, but it most certainly does and has been repaired by many an Audi owner.

The ride height is affected when suspension is tightened in the wrong place.
