Hello everyone,

I've got a B6 A4 with standard factory suspension. I have no idea what the previous owner(s) did to this poor car, you can jam a fist in the front gap and not a hay straw in the back. If I get 3 guys in the back, it all gets way lower. It looks like this:

Now, I've read that the sport suspension package will cause the car to look *slightly* lower in the back, but nothing like this lol.
Can old, totaled dampers be causing this? I don't seem to get a lot of body roll when I'm driving alone, didn't try to play on twisty roads with people in the car.

I was under the impression that the ride height is only determined by the springs. Thanks.

The reverse rake appearance is pretty common, I've read that it's more related to the wheel arch placement in the body panels than the suspension ride heights.

I also recently got an A4 Avant B6 Quattro. I am also wondering what the person before did. He put on these huge tire and rims (19") that I'm stuck with :( He had 275's on the back and 245's on the front. I have got it down to 265's on back and 235's on front. There is still this huge height dif. Not really huge but I measured the fender-to-ground height for the front at 26" and back is 25". It seems that this car should sit more level. I am thinking that, for my car anyway, the guy tried to cut down the rear springs to lower it. Realized it was a bad idea and didn't move on to the font. You could probably better visualize your problem if you measure the fender to ground height.
