Not entirely sure if my module is S5 or RS5, but the details are:
SW: 8K0 907 064 DQ HW: 8K0 907 064 DQ
The functionality is just as you would get OEM on the RS5, up and down according to speed and overridden either way using the switch if you want to.

Saw you today at Stanford mate, car looks and sounds superb, was hoping a few A4's would be about but never saw any groups?

Not many Audis here, just the TTOC and the A5OC. Didn't realise how big this show is. Weather is beautiful, really lucky.

So whilst I've been happy with the looks of my car from the front and side, one thing has always irritated me - the rather crappy S5 rear valance - a boring lump of grey plastic. I ordered a duplicate to try to customise, but soon succumbed to the inevitable. There is only one rear valance I truly like and that is the one on the RS5. I knew this could be done after seeing a project by rudiyoda (http://www.a5oc.com/forums/s5-performance-mods/18389-s5-cab-=-rs5.html), but it would mean surgery to my Capristo which had always put me off, but after consulting Luke @ Jabbasport he was convinced he could sort that out.
So, after taking inspiration from rudiyoda's excellent thread and sourcing the parts from llBen it was rear valance time and some surgery! This is a rather long post and rather picture heavy!
I collected the bumper from Ben and took the undertray section to be wrapped to match the front.

I really do like this brushed metal wrap. Whilst out I took the car over to Jabbasport to have the back boxes taken off so the bumper could be fitted. Once that was done I took the car over to Martin Bradley to start the process. First we had to get the old bumper off which was surprisingly easy...

To make the new bumper fit there was some refinement required, some packing of some areas, trimming and removal of others, but the main thing was the need for new brackets...
http://i1257.photobucket.com/albums/ii506/CuppaChoc/Audi%20S5/IMG_20130429_124336_zps3c5c7684.jpg
Then the new bumper was put on - like I said, some packing pieces were required to bring the panels flush, but nothing major. The bumper once on showed the difference which needed to be addressed with the use of a special tool which was like a piston with a hand pump - this was placed between wheel arch and main body to force the wheel arch out...

Whilst the last of the major mods is done, been working on finishing off some of the other mods which have been a work in progress. Today the front parking sensors were fitted to the bumper and hooked up to the wiring which had been laid previously. The reversing camera has also been enabled with the addition of the new parking module. Some pics of installing the front parking sensors...
Had to position them as they would have been positioned on the Rieger PDC bumper...

Pardon my ignorance, but I assume you're referring to that "A" button. Is that right, or is that something stock on an S5 that's not on an S4? If it's stock on an S5, then what am I missing that you added? If you did just add the A button, where did you get it--it looks very OEM? Thanks

I replaced the handbrake button with the OEM handbrake / Audi Hill Hold Assist (AHHA) button. My S5 did not have AHHA as standard and my stock ABS Pump/controller doesn't support it.
I am replacing the stock ABS Pump/controller with one from an RS5 (pictured above). The primary reason for this is that I can then code it for the ceramic brakes so it will function 100% like it should on the RS5. Side effects of having the new ABS Pump/controller are that I can enable AHHA, plus I can enable the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Thanks for the enlightenment. Now you've got my creative juices going as to how I can use that extra button to have an OEM look for something.
On another note, when you got your KW DDC coilovers did you give any consideration to the Bilstein B16 Ride Control coils? Now that Bilstein has come out with the iRC phone app for them, the two products appear to be reasonably similar, although the nature of the phone app adjustments between the two are different. The reviews I've read of the Bilsteins are very positive (as they are for the KWs). What I haven't figured out yet, and need to do more research on, is what the KWs offer over the Bilsteins that would justify the significant difference in cost. Thoughts?

At the time I quickly discounted the Bilstein. From memory it didn't offer the level of options, no app and seem to remember something to do with either how it worked or how you operated it which I preferred on the KW. Haven't looked into it since though.

Cuppa, magnificent build mate. Question: I know you were wondering about replacing the climate control unit with the new white LED unit. But, despite ripping almost the entire interior of your car out, you appear not to have changed the c/c. Is the new unit now an option for your car or just too expensive?

Old one works fine so not felt the need to change - from memory I think there are bits which don't integrate that well with all the different levels of controllers I have in the car.

I think all black mirrors to match the window trim and the old front lip color you had before would look best.
Or black out mirror caps, color match the lip with body and get a gloss black RS5 grille. $$$$$

Front lip needs to be in the old colour, agreed. Think the mirror caps need to match the old lip colour (titanium), don't want to go completely blacked out. The grille - not sure on that one - think it could look really good in black, but don't want to go too gangsta style. Will live with it for a bit.
I did toy with an idea on experimenting with recessing the main grille a little to give more of a jet intake look - if I did this then I'd definitely go black front grille.

Thanks all. The matte wrap has really proved to be a head turner. The supercharger is the TTS kit and the power delivery above 2k rpm makes it feel anything but heavy - the surge as you approach 7k rpm is nuts.

Thought I would post an update.
Still waiting on US supplier to send me the Avery Confirm Black Chrome to complete the makeover on the front lip and mirrors.
In the meantime I fitted a dashcam up behind the rearview mirror and hardwired it. Pretty cool so far and whilst I hope I don't need it for accident claims it's great capturing all the idiotic things people do on the roads.
Am toying with the idea of getting a P3 Cars digital gauge, just deciding whether to import from US or source locally - fairly similar price.
Still loving the matte effect, especially under street lighting at night. I definitely need to spray the rad behind the Audi rings in black.

I bought a loom pre-made up and don't have the exact instructions any more, sorry. I remember running wiring up from the rear spoiler controller to the switch by the gear stick and having to connect the spoiler controller to the central convenience module, then do a simple VCDS change. Then there's the wiring from the spoiler module up into the boot.

Got me a dashcam
I bought a mini 0801 with the view of, well if it's no good then I can put it in my girlfriend's car, but it's good enough for me to be a keeper. I can buy another one and all the hardwiring gear for less than half the price of a Blackvue 550 for example.
BTW, I'm not trying to knock the Blackvue as I can tell it's well received, just reporting back how I'm getting on with the Mini 0801.
I want it to be completely out of view when I'm driving and that it is. To hardwire it I have used these 3 pieces of hardware:
V1NF 12V to 5V 3A 15W Double USB DC-DC Buck Converter Step Down Module (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321230720970)
StarTech 6 feet Mini USB Cable - A to Left Angle Mini B [PC] [PC] (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00512J7W4) - bear in mind this way round works for us RHD cars, but an Right Angle one would be better for LHD cars
ADD A CIRCUIT- FUSE TAP - PIGGYBACK FUSE - TAKES STANDARD FUSE (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251170198363)
and wired it in down by the passenger fusebox. I've fed the extra USB power connection into the glovebox which comes in very handy.
The motion detection does indeed work, but I'd need to add the battery protection bit to do that (which I think I'd have to do with the Blackvue also).
I'll keep posting updates.
My only criticism so far would be that the sticky pad on the back of the windscreen mount is grey instead of black, but that should be easy enough to replace.

I'd love to say that there were amazing gains to be had and it felt awesome, but it's way too early to say. Only been out twice since fitted them, but am sure the car starts more assuredly and turns over less before starting. Again, it may be placebo effect, but think it's smoother. It'll be back on the dyno in about a month after a carbon clean so it will be interesting to see the numbers.

Have to say, very impressed with the wheel centre I went into yesterday. They spent a good few hours taking exact measurements to ensure the planned wheels/tyres fit every aspect of the wheel well, arches, suspension, brake kit, etc. Sooooooo looking forward to receiving these wheels with the custom finish and accessories. Big thanks to Prestige Wheel Centre (http://www.prestigewheelcentre.co.uk/).

Front rings are direct fit. Rear are slightly smaller than the standard A5 rear rings, but not really an issue for me, I'd rather have the dark chrome colour.

Do you by any chance recall how much the spoiler, loom, and boot lid cost you?

I'd always wanted to change the wheels, but could never find something I was totally happy with until now and was going to be close enough to OEM, but still OEM+++++++. I'd always had a bit of a phobic reaction to most aftermarket wheels I saw so this was always going to be a really tough, drawn-out decision and very specific design for me to be happy.
Re OEM - I'd always loved the rotors - classic, but a little overused by Audi these days. Recently I had been tempted by the V-spokes - very nice looking. Between these two I abstracted the design cues and came up with the following:
- 5 points of symmetry look best to me (rotors and V-spokes both have this)
- Open design of the V-spokes to show off the brakes
- Concave as I could
- Colour to blend with the dark chrome I've done recently
- 21" to show off the brake setup
- Option to customize (more to follow on that one later)
- Michelin PSS tyres - I desperately wanted to keep the option for these as I love the tyre for many reasons including the kerb protection
This narrowed down the search and with the help of a few people (you know who you are [;)] ) then I got down to a shortlist. Then I spotted the P104 from HRE and knew these were the ones.

A big BIG thank you to the guys at HRE (you know who you are) for taking the time to take all these wonderful photos of my wheels in production. I am no expert, so as much as I'd like to do a detailed write-up and sound really knowledgeable I can't, but again the guys at HRE have supplied some notes I have posted along with the photos.
Stage 1: Forging staged for production with an assigned traveler. Each customer order goes with and stays with the forgings on their journey. All information (width, offset, finish, etc.) is on this sheet can be referenced at any point during the journey.

https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7256/13576843034_19e90eccbc_z.jpg
Stage 2: All four wheel forgings at the lathe, being machined. This is where the face of the wheel is refined. It’s at this stage that the center bowl takes shape.

https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7069/13576524053_daa87c8f26_z.jpg
Stage 3: From the lathe, the wheels are then sent through milling. At this stage, the wheel “windows” and spokes are sculpted and carved out, using a variety of tools – each wheel takes about 2 hours (roughly) to complete at this stage. The Series P1 involves a milling process called “kellering” which allows curved and sculpted milling to take place vs straight ball cutting which is utilized on the Series P40SC. This process adds a considerable time to the milling.

Stage 4: Brushing - each of the P104s were brushed by hand, each taking approximately one hour to complete for a total of four hours. Finishing happens on a foot controlled turning wheel and will be slowly finished outward at a consistent speed to ensure quality and uniformity.

Stage 6 - Powder Coat - the wheels are then sent into the powder coat booth queue. Here, they were examined once more before applying three coats of powder (base, dark tint and clear – baking followed each application). The entire powder coating process took about three hours, the majority of which was spent in the oven, baking. Plastic powder receives an electrical charge to adhere to the wheels before baking in an oven. Three coats in total are applied with a bake between each coat.

Nice way to take us through the manufacturing process of those wheels. I'm no wheel expert but I've always though HRE = Swiss Watch version of aftermarket wheels [up] and I can't wait to see these on the car.

Beautiful!
So you got them in "brushed tinted clear"? As they are all made to order, I wonder if they'd do a bead-blasting to get a finish similar to my MacBook Pro. I think that would work really well with the matte aluminium in the Alu-Optik package.

Counting down the hours...
So you got them in "brushed tinted clear"?
Brushed Dark Tinted Clear
As they are all made to order, I wonder if they'd do a bead-blasting to get a finish similar to my MacBook Pro. I think that would work really well with the matte aluminium in the Alu-Optik package.
As they are hand made and hand finished I'm sure they could do pretty much anything possible as long as you have the budget.

Yep, P104
Full lock on front no problems.
BUT - they would not have fit the rear of the car if I hadn't already fitted the RS5 rear bumper and modified the rear arches.
