Is there any way you could make a .ISO of it and post it for a download?

I downloaded it from pirate bay I think. If you can't get it there let me know and I'll just burn you a copy and mail it to you.

I didn't realize you could burn it to a dvd and it work. I would have figured Audi would create a way to block them.

If Not, Awesome. I really need one because I still have the 2006..... Yeah..... I'm finding myself questioning it. Took a recent 900 mile round trip and had to use my phone to double check. It's just an extra hassle.

Im still running on 2005 DVD and SW c6-hu 6360 10.7.0.0437.

During every trip ive taken im always driving in fields on the screen and the Nav voice is always yelling at me. Any help would be great. All the searches I do on the SW update or nav cd D/L are are all broken links. Other than the links to buy new ones.

From what I understand my SW is the 10.7 and I would need to update to 3360 then update again or straight to 4610 for everything to work right.

OK... I think I figured it out. I clicked on the big great green box that said "Download" which isnt the DVD file. Had to click on some of the smaller print "get torrent file"

So i've got the file and im thinking its in .iso format. I've got nero and a DVD burner. Do I just paste this on a DVD+R? Im thinking nero wont do .iso. Ive read that it has to be a single layer DVD+ and not a -. I also read that burning it at slower speeds works better too. But I also read the 0600 software wouldnt run the 2010 nav DVD.

.ISO is a image file. If using Nero make a DVD then insert file and burn. DVD-R works fine and a slower rate of burn the better. And you cut through the BS and straight up update the SW to 4610(4F0998961). Disc 1 is the Bluetooth and disc 2 update the components. Don't waste time on 3360 because 4610 has all the updates.

I added this in nero and it shows only 16.8 KB.... I cant imagine that being enough data for maps for north america but im going to give it a shot. I feel like I am missing a step. I've never messed with torrent files, but I figured this would be a DVD file. I let you know if this works on the DVD-R

OK.... So I turned my brother loose on this. To answer my own question the 3 CD
SW 3360 is 4F0 906 961AB which has 1 CD (not needed)
SW 4610 is 4F0 906 961 which has 2 CD's

He also burned me the 2010 Nav DVD from the above piratebay....... He also burnt me the 2012 maps which he said he found them on "isohunt". I will let you know if this works. Im going to try the SW update first

Try burning it again on a higher quality DVD. I used to have the same issues when using cheap DVDs, then I spend a few dollars more on a good one and never had the issue again.

Use a DVD+R, not a DVD-R. I sitll get intermittent read disc errors though. Quality of the DVD is important.

What brand are you using?

cebo0650

JVC made by Taiyo Yuden

Here is excerpt from an article on the topic.

Why Taiyo Yuden media, and how to buy in the US?
The best discs in circulation tend to be Taiyo Yuden media. In Japan, you find their media under the brand That’s, which are wholly owned by Taiyo Yuden.

As of late 2009, Taiyo Yuden announced they were buying the JVC Advanced Media brand, and making it a wholly owned and operated brand for TY products. They did this to put Taiyo Yuden products on store shelves worldwide. See update 4 at the bottom for a full explanation.

Simply put, I have never had problems with any kind of Taiyo Yuden media. Ever. I have bought CDs and DVDs under a dozen different brands (including non-Taiyo Yuden manufactured TDK and Verbatim), and the only ones that have had a 100% success rate is Taiyo Yuden.

If you cannot find any company selling media under the Taiyo Yuden/JVC Advanced Media brand, I suggest buying from the SuperMediaStore.com, who offer a wide range of Taiyo Yuden CD media, DVD-R media, and DVD+R media. I tend to buy just from them, as they are the only company that guarantees that their media is actually from Taiyo Yuden and not a fake (see the above linked FAQ on information about fake Taiyo Yuden media).

How about doing it for the betterment of the community without charging? Kinda like pay it forward. I am changing out my grill and the GIVING it to another member of the group. All he has to do is pay shipping. I have also offered up my post facelift door blades before for free as well. Instead of these items sitting in my garage, may as well offer them up to someone who can use them. Maybe in the future I will be able to take advantage of someone else's generosity.

Just a thought. I will get off my soapbox now.

On a related note, how does one get a hold of update DVD(s) for POI (points of interest) for Audi MMI Navigation; specifically for Traffic /speed camera locations, etc? When I had an RNS-510 nav unit (on a VW CC) a buddy of mine provided me with an update DVD which updated the POI database. There should be one for Audi MMI, no?

I've done both the updates myself, its an easy update to do, but it's an easy update to mess up as well. ensure you have power to the vehicle when doing the update i prefer to just leave it running also check your bluetooth module prior to doing the update to ensure its compatible with the new firmware if not you stand a chance of bricking it.

The Nav update i received with the actual Navigation DVD i bought from the dealer it updated a lot to include the voice so it seemed. other than that its a smooth sailing update pointless to pay the dealer 135 just to perform the labor.

It's been a couple years so it's time to update. I'm still running a 2006 CD and it's getting pretty old. I need something newer.

I see 2016 DVD's for $40 on ebay, that's not bad. Figured I would see if anyone on here has one and to double check I don't have to update my car software do I?
I thought about making an offer and seeing if they will take 30....
