When I finally get my car back on the road I'll need to stop dumping straight to the ground. Wondering if anybody has experience with these. I'd be picking up the stealth kit and dropping the 3/4" outlet back into the TIP. Everything in my car emissions related is removed.
Thoughts?

I just got one, but haven't installed it yet. It looks really well made, nice tig welds, etc. we are going to modify it to take screw on Aeroquip style fittings for the oil vapor hoses. I will do a post after I get it installed showing where we mounted it and how we hooked it up. hopefully will be in a week or so.

Are you retaining the PVC valve?

I am just using it as a filter, so nothing will be removed from the factory system. Car needs to be California legal, so no removing of emissions related items. It has nice baffles and filters inside of it to help the stuff in the blow by to settle out in the can.

For a "Real" catch can, Check out the Racor model 6000, it provides benitits no other fake can match.

You are not saying the 42 draft design can in question is a fake can, are you? This is no shiny polished empty ebay can. those guys design some pretty well engineered stuff at that company. there are a total of 4 filter screens in there to trap and remove the airborne stuff from the blow by gas.
post a link to the Racor one if you would.

Tim Tomas, the owner of Tomas Sports tuning (a well respected local VW/AudiTuner)is going to hook the thing up for me. We already figured out where to mount the can and run the lines, but I will take some photos and post them after its done. Tim said the octane of the fuel goes down with the blow by oils in it, and a trap like this is good for performance,as well as keeping junk out of the intake and inter cooler.

Damn, what does that thing cost and weigh?
I did some research on their stuff, and it seems its mostly used on large diesel engines, both marine and truck. probably overkill for a 1.8T.
