Avant Garde M510's in Satin Silver. 19x8.5 ET35 with 245/35/R19. Tires are Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2.

Right now the car is on stock S Line suspension, I have H&R Street Performance coilovers ordered so hoping to get those installed when they arrive as the wheel gap is a bit much for my taste. Really can't wait to see how it looks lowered.

I'm not running spacers at the moment. I could run 5mm or 10mm max because I'm not really a fan of the poked out style. You could go with 255 both 8,5 or 9,5 IMO.

It should settle a little bit more over the next few days, and personally I think that ride height looks great! Still useable every day, but it gets rid of the awful wheel gap.

I´v hade the springs since December.. And the settle after a few days after mounting but it was a just a few mm..

Looking for coilovers now that has low stance but still a bit of comfort.

She is sitting on Klutch KM20s in Bronze, 10j on the rears and 8.5j on the fronts.
235/35/19 Vredestein Sessanta's all round. No spacer currently but going to kick the front a rear out a little more soon.

Lowered on FK coilovers for now until elevel, is the lowest driveable height i can get her without being beached on my drive :) nothing like the sound of scraping in the morning :S

Looking at 20x9 with 245/35/20 wheels most likely. I love the "deep dish look" but for the life of me i get so confused figuring this stuff out (still). but im almost there! new wheels hopefully soon

Thanks! One of the reasons I went with V721 is that they are not common and I am told by VMR that I was the first to buy a set for a B8 Avant. I wanted something different but not too wild. I think they'd look great on your allroad but fair warning, you will be lowering on coilovers too. All the allroads here that have been lowered are so awesome looking.

Yeh I feel that it's far better then the standard suspension height but could use just a little bit more of a drop not much and maybe a lower offset on the rims and it would sit perfect. I have the drive select and it does make a difference not height wise of course but stiffness and it performs pretty well for a factory suspension but def just a bit mor of a drop lol

yeah, I said I would never run 20's, but the B8 is such a big car that it looks right with a bigger wheel. I've run several 18's/19's/20's and although having a light set of 18's is nice as spares, but I like the look of 20's best.

sometimes 19's look small on my car but i wouldnt wanna completely lose the comfort going to 20's..18's look ok but its more tire than anything and i dont think it looks all that well on any audi imo

Depends on the style of wheel. I run 18s because the roads in Fairfield County, CT, are terrible and I think the design I chose suits the car well. Apologies for the dirty car when the picture was taken.

My S4 had too much done to it before I sold it, I'm bitter about getting too involved again [:D] I actually CHOSE automatic knowing that would keep me from doing anything performance related..

I don't think you'll regret sticking with an 18, it improves the look and still rides well. I'm happy with the Eibach Pro Kit springs I'm running as well, they're well suited to the roads around here and they won't corrode from road salt like coilovers do sometimes.

IMO those are garbage. I never been a fan of convex faced wheels, especially with flat lips. That style wheel belongs on a JDM or merican car at the dump.. Sorry if thats too honest.

I'm currently running ST coilovers. I plan to upgrade to BC as I'll be able to control the dampening. The ride quality is pretty good. It's not too soft or too hard. I think it's a great setup for a budget.

I don't have CCW wheels, but I have high offset 18s with OEM spec tires. They fit great, ride and handle well, and with a mild drop I think they look awesome.

Guys, I have just bought a 2010 B8 Avant and from what I can tell, 20's are good to go as long as the offset accounts for the increased wheel width, from measuring up the space available under my fenders (we call them Arches in the UK) it seems that the biggest issue is going to be with the front wheels potentially rubbing the fenders.

I am investigating 3 potential setups as follows

255/30/20 on 20x8.5 rims with et+35 (i may however go with 245/30/20)
255/30/20 on 20x9.5 rims with et+45
255/30/20 on 20x10 rims with et+42

I have H&R height adjustable coilovers ready to fit which will drop the car all round by 30-60mm (it's non-sports suspension at present), do you think I could get away with any 1 of these set ups with out rubbing the front fenders? I will only drop the car by 30mm initially and if no problems can look to bring it down further once it's all settled.

with the ET35 and ET42 options I could have an extra 3mm shaved off in order to sink the wheels in further and I also think there may be room for some spacers in the rear. I have a really good idea about the wheels I want to fit and they come in the 20x10 et 42 measurement, the thing is I would have to order them from the US and if they are gonna rub-a-dub-dub then it'll be an expensive mistake.

I will also add that although I would prefer to avoid it, I am not completely averse to rolling the fenders!!

Thanks. Running H&R Sport Springs. Camber is at -1.5 fronts and -2.20 rear. No rubbing at all. Tire setup today: 245/35/20 fronts and 275/30/20 rears. They have about same heights. This is my daily driver.

Mine are 19 x10 et 42 at the back, they poke ever so slightly but a little stretch and I have no issues being about 45mm lower on the back.
235/35 vredesteins clear my arch perfect and the ET of yours is only a little more.
I have seen another with the 10 et42 on the front running with no issues (few off what you are looking at)

My 2013 A4 Quattro/8spd is not really a daily driver, but more for weekend Canyon runs and some track days. I just installed H&R Street Performance Coilovers, Hotchkis Swaybars f/r and Eurocode endlinks f/r. I'm in the market now for Tires/Wheels.

It seems many people are going with 19x8.5 or (9.5) ET45 and 255/35 R19. For what I am using the Car for though, I get the impression that bigger is not better. Can you guide me in proper sizing?

Being only the Premium model, it came with 17" all season tires.

They are basically the same color as the car. Gunmetal VMR's will probably be the same. It depends on if you want the monochromatic look or not. Hyper Silver would give you tons of contrast, obviously. If you want a darker look and still have some contrast, what about Hyper Black?

Looks amazing...but the fenders appear to be reguar A5/S5, not flared RS5 parts. Well done. Any close ups of the accent line meeting the door? Did it match without mods, or was there some finesse involved?

My 2013 A4 Quattro/8spd is not really a daily driver, but more for weekend Canyon runs and some track days. I just installed H&R Street Performance Coilovers, Hotchkis Swaybars f/r and Eurocode endlinks f/r. I'm in the market now for Tires/Wheels.

It seems many people are going with 19x8.5 or (9.5) ET45 and 255/35 R19. For what I am using the Car for though, I get the impression that bigger is not better. Can you guide me in proper sizing?

Being only the Premium model, it came with 17" all season tires.

I am retired and just drive it for fun and getting out of the house a few times a week or so. I've had trucks for the past 25 years. I fell in love with my friends Audi A4 years ago and always wanted one. What I got was what I could afford, as far as getting a new car which is my preference. I have been upgrading it as I get the coin and compared to any other car I've ever driven, it is AMAZING in the Canyons and back roads (I took it to 160.2mph just a few days ago). In fact, the car far is beyond what I'm comfortable with as far as pushing it into the corners. I'm getting better every month, but it will be a while before I can drive it at the edge comfortably. I do keep up with all of the S4's in ACLA though with the help of APR and my handling package).

So, with all that said, I just wanted some advice on the best tires/wheel combo. Since I wrote that, I've done as much research as I could and actually just placed the order last night (although I'm considering changing the wheel color as evidenced by my poll in the main section.

I went with: VMR 810's @ 19x8.5 et35 and Hankook Ventus V12 evo 2's. Since I set my ride height so far at 25.25 front and 25.75 rear, my choice was 50/50 as far as handling vs aesthetics.

Thank you again for your advice though. If I ever get to where I can't get any more out of the A4, maybe I'll pick up one of the used models you suggested.

Hey man. I enjoyed your feedback of your background. As for your wheel and tire choice, you have great taste. I've always dabbled with the 18" wheel vs 19" prrformance comparison. I Have to say, unless a 19" wheel is super light, I'm still a fan of 18"s for pure performance. With that said, a super light 19 performed amazing and looks sooo much better. As for 20" wheels, I think they look great on certain models. I've done a lot of road racing and I've done a lot of auto crossing. Those are the only ways I can have fun with a car because daily spirited driving in South Florida is horrible...we don't have canyons unfortunately. Enjoy your new wheels and rubber man!

Just put some rubber on my new VMR V710 rims and had them mounted on the car on Friday.

I went with the V710 in Matte Black (18 x 8.5 et 35) and used Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires (245/40ZR18). Only the grill and badging is "chrome", so the matte black fits in nicely with rest if the trim.

Without knowing anything, I'd say there is slim chance that is actually 20x9 et40.. especially at that ride, he would be 10mm sunk in from where he is.

This is the deep concave model A5/S5 fitment. The concave is noticeable.

I am trying to get a picture showing the difference in wheel gap between
18" & 19" wheels on a 2010 a4 on factory sport suspension.
Does anyone have a before & after pic of this or can you direct me to a
pic that has been posted that I missed.

Your wheel gap won't be any different. You size your tires so that the rolling diameter is the same, therefore overall diameter of 18"+tire = 19"+tire. It may "appear" to make the gap less as there will be less tire side wall on the 19"
