View Full Version : Chicagoland pricing?
So I've been wanting an S4 for a very long time (the entire B6/B7 generation)! For numerous reasons, I just never got into one. I've been reading the various forums on and off but don't post too much since I don't own one. Hopefully no one flames me for this as there are plenty of pricing threads around but can't find one which talks about pricing in my area. I was very close to pulling the trigger on an order tonight but wasn't sure how people are faring with discounts around Chicago. I got an offer around 1,000 off MSRP which is about 3,000 over invoice. Does this seem reasonable around this area? I do not currently own an Audi, so no Loyalty Discount, nor do I work for an Audi supplier, so no discount there either. I am also posting this in numerous places so please don't get too annoyed with me if you see this elsewhere! Thanks in advance for any feedback.

A B8 S4 is very hard to come by in exact specs right now. In fact all B8 platform cars are amazingly rare, especially in the NE region (Chicago is considered NE in Audi). I've been selling them for sticker all day long in NY so a 1k discount a few hundred miles away isnt too bad.

Called about 5 different dealerships today. No one has the car exactly as I want it but a couple could find ones either very close to what I'm looking for or exactly as I want it but pretty far away. The best discount I was offered was about 3% of MSRP which is around 2k off plus Audi care thrown in. This would have to be an order and approximately 3 months at the earliest for delivery. The readily available options, either something with more than I want or something that has to be shipped here are available at smaller discounts with no Audi care. Time to start thinking........[:d]

Don't compromise - take what discount you can get & place the order.
It will seem like an eternity between order and delivery, but at least you'll be happy with the end result.

Wise advice. I'm sure the wait will kill me but I guess I waited a whole generation so what's another couple months? [:)]

I started shopping for an Audi in Feb, started really looking in April/May when the Audi Summer Event started - couldn't find what I wanted. It boiled down to the MT cars in the colors I could live with disappearing faster than I could make the deals over the internet/phone.
Long story short: I ordered exactly what I wanted in my (current) dream car. Now I'll be driving it in one week [eek]
