Looking for a 19" alternative to the OEM 19s. Two questions:
1) Are there quality wheels (comparable to the OEMs) available in the $250 - $300/ea range?
2) If so, what are some recommended brands?

OZ Ultraleggera 19". Very light.
Recently changed my summer 19" OZ's for 18" stock ones with winter tyres. My car immediately began to look pretty awful. :(
I've heard that Henry Ford once said that 90% of a car's looks are the wheels.

yeah cause henry ford said people can get a car in any color they want as long as its black.
if everything is black of course the wheels are the only thing to change looks wise!

I like Oz for its overall value. The hlt wheels offer low weight firstly, ok looks, decent price value. If you like the looks, they are a no brainer. generally one sacrifices a heavier wheel for better looks. Have to prioritize.

We have Hartmann HRS4-252 wheels available for $234-18", $256.50-19" and $346 in 20" for our Achtoberfest sale.
Hartmann wheels have the correct centerbore for B8 fitment, use OEM lug bolts and accept OEM centercaps.

My second choice:

But both are so damn expensive, therefore it's only a dream for now. [headbang]

Ya they aren't what the poster asked for since they aren't any close to the $250-300/wheel.
IMO as nice as those rims are I would rather spend that kind of money on performance upgrades. Those rims go for about 5-6k/set, at that price you could probably do pulleys, chip, and rims.

He's correct. As gorgeous as those wheels are, no way I'm dropping that sort of coin on wheels. Might spend a little more, like $2k/per set. The stock 19s are starting to grow on me a little. Might go with those for awhile, and see how they settle with me over time.

if you get VMR, ensure that you get the new factory 66.6 wheels. Seems like everyone who buys the 57mm bores and then has VMR or someone else bore them 66 has problems. I've had two sets...both cause bad vibrations.

Any reason why if they are bored they vibrate? Are you also talking VMR specific?

As we speak, we are shifting over to B8 A4's done at the factory [:D]. Over the past few months we've noticed the vibration regardless of whether the wheels are bored by our machine shop or if its done independently by the customer or vendor.
I'm thinking that this might also be related to the steering wheel shake that many new B8 A4 owners have even with factory wheels. The suspension assembly might be a little too sensitive compared to other cars. Whats unfortunate is that the Audi service is also known to place blame on customer's driving habits, (even with months-old factory wheels/tires). Which is why it probably wouldn't surprise me one bit if they pointed fingers at the "aftermarket wheels" without having a closer look at the individual components involved.
Regardless we will always do our best to look after customers' interests [:)]

Are you guys going to design more wheels with the deeper lip and three piece look like the HRE ones or the Linea Corse?

offer titanium finish, like the s6,a3 ti edition, a4 ti edition. They would outsell gunmetal I think.
would you have a picture of a b8 with the rs4's 20x9s in anthracite.. ibis maybe? it is the best rim you sell right noe for a b8

We haven't received any pics of our Anthracite 20s yet but the wheels have only been available for 4 days, we'll share pics as soon as we have some though!

I remember getting a quote on those T1S a while back and they weren't priced too bad, but they're cast and not very light, so I passed.

Definitely would be nice to have one or two of the deep lipped rims posted above in your companies profile. I think you only have the 714 that has a deeper lip but it only comes in Hyper black, which means you have no deep lipped rims that come in hyper silver/silver or polished. I think their would definitely be a market for that type of rim especially for the European cars.

The cause of vibration, if not disbalance, is a wheel itself not properly centered on the wheel hub using centering adaptor (plastic in cheap rims sets and solid aluminium in good ones).
Heard that tolerance for the wheel centering is just a half-millimeter.

You can always buy a bigger hub ring (0.1mm) and force it in there so there is no slop.
