factory is def. gonna be a bit more money, but they do look a little deeper and nicer.
the factory looks way better, because they are silver and a durable finish...machined face rims are a dumb trend that needs to end. I would have bought the replikas if they came without machined.

Jose,
Has there been any rubbing on your fenders under hard turns or large bumps? I'm thinking of slapping on my old RS-GT's 18x8.5 et32 on the S4 when it arrives. I currently have rubbing issues on my A4 with this offset. I am lowered though, at about 2 fingers wheel gap. However, i plan on lowering the S4 also.

No rubbing at all, but i'm stock height, so it's been good so far.
RE: the deeper rim, Definitely. These stock rims have a lot of depth and detail in them!

Stock S5 wheels (S4 optional) are 19x8.5". They're darn heavy ones. My stock wheels 18x8 were 24,2 kilograms each with tyres, OZ Ultraleggera 19x8 is only 19,7 kg. 4,5 kilos (nine pounds) less. As I've heard, each kilogramm taken off from a rotating mass means minus 15 kilos from the weight of an entire car during acceleration.

The stock tire for the 19x8.5 et32 S5 wheel is a 255/35/19. If you're lowered a bit and want to mount some 8.5"-wide et32 wheels on a B8, you should be ok as long as you go with a 245 series tire instead.

Thanks for the info, sounds like i'll be doing a wheel transplant once this wait is over!

You probably already know this but just to be sure, remember that the bore size for the B8 A4/S4 is different than previous generations so there may be a bit of work required to get the wheels you already have to fit onto your S4.

Exactly. You need 66.6mm.

No rubbing in the front while doing low-speed turns at the tightest turning radius either?

There is some rubbing on big dips in the road, (ie going over a railroad track and reaching the bottom right before it levels back off.) So far it has rubbed medium once and very light with one other person in car once. No damage though.

Easier to post a tube video via iPhone than take a digital pic upload to computer then upload to the website. I know he pics come out better, but I can poet. A video with a single press of a button. Plus haven't loaded a pic on this website yet, so don't really know exactly how

BBS wheels use centering rings for a perfect fit on any hub diameter so all he will have to do is get new hub rings.

Wow and all this time everyone was saying that B8 A4/S4 would have the same wheel fitment as the A5/S5. Judging by how close the stock S5 wheels are on the S4, there is no way a stock body S4 would clear my 20x11 +37 rear wheels. Good to know for resale purposes.

Really? I haven't heard any reputable sorces say the A4 and A5 had the same wheel fitment.

There is only a difference in ET as far as I know. For the rest it's the same.

That is somewhat correct. Bolt pattern and center bore are the same, but offset is VERY different and the A5 fenders are wider to accomodate MUCH wider wheels.

Yeah the ET is a huge difference. It looks like stock S5 wheels are pretty flush on the S4, but you can stuff 30mm spacers on the rear of the A5/S5. An ET30 difference is night and day, that's the difference between a Corolla and a Supra.
That also means you probably won't clear an 11 in the rear or a 10 in the front, regardless of offset. Not intended to have a "trash talk" tone, just taking note of technical specification as I'm a big wheel enthusiast.

As it pertains to this subject, here is what the stock S5 wheels/tires look like on a lowered B8:
http://www.audizine.com/gallery/data/500/medium/MonkA4_28_.JPG
Note that this setup does indeed rub w/ the stock tires (255s) because it is lowered, but that as joseaudi has stated, stock S4 suspension (which I believe to be the same ride height as the A4 sport suspension, at least in the US) is rub-free for the most part. Here is the thread w/ more info:
