On the american version, brake and turn signals make the whole light get brighter as well as the thin clear bar at the bottom. In the euro version does this bar light up yellow and does it light up by itself on turn signaling/hazards?

So someone on another website posted that it's yellow and only comes on with turn signals and hazards, unlike ours in US that also come on with braking and with the rest of the LEDs of the whole taillight.

Is there a vag mod to have it European configuration? I don't like how the whole rear lights up with a turn signal.

Mine is HK spec and should be pretty much the same as Euro. Only the bulb below the LED brake lights turns yellow while signal or hazard is on. Can you show some pic of your lights in action, it seems pretty interesting that the brake lights serve as signals as well, just like some american cars.

To my knowledge, it requires access to the BCM2 module to change settings of the LED tails, which VCDS (Vagcom) cannot access.

at 50 seconds you can see how the whole taillight lights up with braking. For turn signalling the same thing happens just on one side though.

Don't know why AoA always fxxked up the lights.
Mine is just normal incandescent bulb behind amber lens for the signal strip below the LED brake light. Here is a pic when brake light is on.

I see what you mean about the brake lights now. There's gotta be a way to do this. I'm sure eventually someone in ROW will run a VAG COM to get the codes needed for us U.S. drivers.

Yeah it looks Better with braking that way, too bad you don't have the led strip we have, regardless ours looks worse.

Turn signals are yellow in Eupope: in headlamps - usual yellow bulbs, in mirrors - LED yellow stripes, in rear - yellow bulbs (not LEDs).
