The install was straight forward. Connect to the back of radio, and connect a ground.
It plays but the sound is distorted and skips...I thought maybe the ground was not connected properly but I reconnected a different ground and it still sounds terrible.
When I first hooked it up it worked fine. Then I turned the ignition on and it began sounding like a CD that is skipping???
Someone help...did I buy the wrong unit?

I had a blitzsafe and it died after 1 year but a install time I had the same problem as you. 99% certain it's your ground that is bad - check that - I ended up using the screw behind the head unit (that was on a VW) and used one of those crimp-on metal loops to have a solid connection.

Yeah that sounds like a bad ground. Make sure the screw is tight on the wire.

I just installed the blitzsafe m-link 1v-1b the install was very straight foward but my only complaint is that the volume is lower when playing my ipod touch. I am just wondering if anything can be done ?

I just installed one in my 05.5 A4, and it didn't work at all at first. I had to pull the radio back out and push the connectors into back of the radio more. They feel like they're all the way in, but really arent. The fact that it's a modular three piece lego-like connector doesn't help. I grounded mine to one of the screws on the chassis of the radio and it sounds perfect. I do wish you could at least skip tracks with the radio/MFSW though.

Anyone know where to get this in the Greater Vancouver area (BC)?
