What is the cost of the black optic pack? Dealer told me he had no idea what it was, I told him what it was and to look it up for me, and he said it wasn't available. Can you buy certain parts of the black optic pack separate?

The only thing I"m not clear on is if the front splitter is gloss black or aluminum optic like the rear diffuser.

here's an rs6 without it, notice the black grill, black trim, and titanium wheels on the others. im not sure if the body color mirrors is part of the black optics package like on the white rs6 though

You pay the $1200 to "join" the Audi exclusive club basically. It's non-transferrable between people, but you will be a member and have access to any future 'exclusive' paints, details and schemes on all Audi's you order henceforth.

Of course with the grill being the largest of the things which change here, you can order a black optic grill for ~$350 with core charge and do the swap out yourself too...

my sales guy of 28 years knew nothing of the exclusive options. I had to research all myself and learn about it. I have found after buy a lot of cars in 35 years of driving that sales guys, generally, know nothing. They're gypsy's and move from brand to brand and just want to write up a sale and know that very few customers care about exclusivity. You have to educate yourself.

Titanium wheels are the best thing Audi has ever done for a wheel.....Why are they soo rare and hard to get. All S cars should have a ti option.

Definitely either painting/powder coating my oem wheels titanium or buying some VMR 710's in GM.

Wow. I'm really interested in this. I thought the black optics package was some interior trim only.

Interestingly, Audi's website doesn't give the option for black optics anymore now that they've changed some of their pricing around. I'm pretty sure it was available before when "building" your S4.

I'm dying to see better pics of this option. I absolutely hate cars with silver trim around the windows. This looks like the answer to my problems... albeit a semi-spendy one...
