As of now the S4 loses out once the speeds pickup, especially against the C63. But with the chip I think the C63 would lose because it would run out of road by the time it catches up.

Must be chipped, or the ISf, C63 had 800 lbs in the trunk and retards who can't drive an auto.

Well I think a chipped S4 will equal a JB3 335i or better and if that is the case than the C63 definitely would not pass the S4 in that fashion. I also think that it having seven gears and probably the best tranny in the bunch helps alot also. With seven gears I think they are better able to optimize the gears for the power and torque that this engine puts out.

One of the reasons I sold my B7 S4 was because of the lack of performance parts/gains from aftermarket bolt-ons. Waited to long for the promise of a cost effective supercharger and nothing, so I sold it. (pardon me if one is already out as I have not been on the B7 S4 forums for at least a year now).

Like I said I didn't think so either because no way a stock MB C63 should catch up and pass a chipped S4 that way. I say this because with a chipped S4 producing similiar like hp with the 7 speed gears on the S-tronic(assumming here ) the MB should only be creaping up ever so slowly. The key being the 7 gears allowing for bigger gears.
MB at higher speeds usually win the race because their gears are always bigger than everyone else in their high performance cars because of their big torquey engines.With my previous C, S and E class cars the gears are so big that I always needed to brake because the car wood glide forever, no engine braking at all.

No possible way unless the guy driving the rs4 was missing gears and bogged on the start which it didnt look like he did either. The new s4 cant defy the laws of physics, similar weight yet, down on power by almost 100hp, no way, somebody is leaving out something.

It is what it is unless you are saying that the RS4 in both runs bogged down. The first run was rolling so I don't think that was the case. But if you look at the S4 run against the ISF and the C63 you can see that down low to about probably 80mph it had the upperhand on most of the cars not just the S4. Unless they are all S4 lovers and making the video to make the S4 look good which I don't think so(paid by Audi?)[:)].
It can be the new gearbox allowing full throttle quicker, or like I said the 7 gears to allow better matching to the engine powerband.
Maybe keith from APR can chip in to the abilities of this S4 as he has already hinted at the capabilities of the stock S4 will suprise some of the competition already.
Or we will know once some of these guys break in their cars and start racing posting more vids on youtube. Either way it looks like a promising car just hope it is reliable.

the s4 in the video is manual you can hear him shifting when the c63 and the isf raced, i dont think its chipped. in the race between the rs4 and the s4 it could have been mostly due to the driver but if you look at a lot of the stock for stock times between the s4 and the rs4 its not to far off, if the s4 was chipped i think it would have noticeably pulled harder on the rs4

The C63 is stock. I have one and they sound like that, actually 10x better in person. I brought in my 09 A4 for service this past week and was lucky enough to test drive a B8 S4. Black with black/white interior, 6spd. It was very nice! It is noticably quicker than my old B7 S4, down low, but no where near the torque and speed the C63 puts out. The new S4 is overall a great car, and with a chip, will be even better. But, just to let you know, with only a chip on the C63, the HP/TQ go up to 510HP/480TQ, and after that, these cars easily pull on E60 M5s on the highway.

Dont forget that the S4 will have AWD drivetrain loss. Look at 1/4 times, but more importantly the trap speeds. This tells you how fast the car really is. A chipped C63, will pass a chipped S4. A chip/pulley kit will not give that much power to the S4. Chipped C63= 500+HP, chipped S4= 450HP+AWD? You saw the video and how the AWD kills the S4 after about 60mph. Not dogging the S4, but you'll need alot more to get into high 11s.

That is not true depending if the chip can = 335i JB3 tune. Like I said if it can equal the JB3 than it can do high 11's like the 335i. If you don't believe me than go look at 335i JB3 time slips. Anyways all speculation until the the tune comes out from the American tuners.
I just know that if I need to race a C63 it would have to be on windy roads or a track with lots of corners.

All I can say is I didn't say the S4 will take down the C63 in any of my posts, so go back and reread the posts.
Secondly is that if you do some research the numbers will indicate that a chipped S4 will not be passed in that fashion. MTM chipped S4 0-60 = 4.6, C63 stock = 4.5, S4 better launch so in the end C63 will win, but it all depends until what speed the race is up to so should be a close race between a chipped S4 and C63 and not like in the video.
Lastly obviously a chipped C63 would be faster, it is a 6.2L v8 after all, but definitely it would not be a walk in the park that you think because if you go to dragtimes and look at renntech mod C63 and look at 335i times they are anywhere from .5 to .2 seconds faster for the C63 compared to a JB3 335i. Stock for stock S4 is faster than 335i in most accounts and a properly tuned S4 should equal properly tuned 335i, most indications that it will be.
If you want to refute the above please provide some thing other than no way.
Not sure if you can read the tone of this as it is not in any manner defensive or offensive but just want to see where you are coming from as from the research I have done that is my conclusions so far but if you or anyone can shed some light on this it would be great as the S4 is a new car so not much info.
I looked at all the competition and drove them all before buying the S4 and I definitely didn't buy it for it being the fastest otherwise I definitely would have purchased the C63, I purchased it because In my opinion it is the best all round car and I think this would be hard to refute.

I think he drove pretty well...he launched great from a dig and had the S4 by quite a bit. That's when the video gets fishy...how on earth did the S4 mow him down and then walk him? That's what doesn't make any sense. To me.
