I asked my friend to do a custom finish on my old dpe set from my b8. Here is the out come.

I actually bought another set of HRE instead, so I am selling these set of dpe with Tires and TPMS. Send me a pm if you are interested. He actually painted black on the inside.

Are those powder coated or painted?

They are painted. My friend does owns a body shop and he painted them for me.

Those are nice. I wonder how they'd look on a Quartz Gray???

I think they'd look awesome on Quartz. Nice and aggressive! Since you're both in SF, it would be an easy transaction for both of you.[race]

Haha... Well I'm a little concerned about whether it will look good if the wheel is a darker gray than the body. But maybe we should just sit them next to car and see. :)

They'll be darker than Quartz for sure, which is a good thing! They should look aggressive with the darker finish wheels on the slightly lighter grey paint. Post up a direct side shot of your car and I'll put together a photoshop so you can see how they'd look.

Those look amazing - I'd really like to see them mounted on a car... come on someone by them! [:p]

I don't know much about wheels... do they take the same size tires that I have stock on my 19" tri-spoke wheels?

Yes, your stock tires would fit.

That would be great! It's a not-so-great iPhone photo but hopefully it'll work.

Thanks, looks cool. I don't think I'd want a bumpier ride though living in the city with all the rough streets.

You should ride in mine with lowered suspensions later. It actually feels better than the stock one : )

Oh really? Yeah I'd definitely like to check it out then.

BTW, I'm heading to Livermore on Saturday to get the windows tinted. Thanks for the recommendation!

Checked them out in person. They look pretty sick. I'll check it out once the tint is done on Saturday and then decide. Took a pick of the two S4s:
