Radio Signal???

I've got a D3 in the car right now with my sub/amp setup. I just realized what was causing my terrible radio signal. When my remote wire to the amp is wired into the rem. out wire on the harness i instantly lose most if not all of my radio signal. And as soon as i take the rem. wire out of the line my signal comes right back. Now, signal is not perfect with the remote wire taken out but it is very noticeably better than before...Any ideas why this would be happening?

Are you using Metra's antenna adapter that provides 12v to the center pin? It could be bad...

I have the AVIC-700BT in my B7 and use the Metra VW53 (or VW54) with good reception.
