I ordered my S4 without NAV. I dont use it ever. I will miss teh SD slots though so I might have to buy a mypod.
Do I have to use a mypod or will other MP3 players work?

You can just buy a cheap USB memory stick and use that. Just make sure you get the AMI cable for USB instead of for iPod.

That's the cable. MMI will read the file structure as is on the flash drive so make sure the music is sorted/named well.

SD slot is standard, I believe. I don't have NAV but have a SD slot. One that I'll probably never use, however. Between Sirius, Ipod and terrestrial radio, not sure what else you need?

I dont use satellite radio, I dont have or want a mypod, and my last Audi had NAV and I used the 2 SD slots. The dealer said the SD was with the nav but if you got one, then thats good at least one. Is it HCSD? or still standard SD?
This is my 3rd S4, 4th Audi. BTW.

Don't know the difference, but I can say for certain that in my non-NAV S4 there is some type of a SD slot.

I believe the S4,A4,S5,A5 without NAV gets one SD slot in the lower left part of the dash controls. Cars with NAV (true for 3G, not sure about 2G) get two SD slots. In both cases, the SD slot should support SDHC (confirmed for 3G MMI). The manual says up to 32GB, but I'm not sure that is mostly a firmware thing.

Ah, my B7 A4 with MMI had 2 starndard SD slots. @gb worked fine but anything over (up to 4gb) was hit or miss. I hope the one slot is hc.
