Picked it up in Orange County and drove it back to San Francisco. I have about 650 miles on it already. I LOVE this car! Owned a 2000 S4 for 7 years, then a 2008 S6 for 8 months. This is by far the best.

How did you get out of an 08 S6 without taking a bath?
Sweet new ride.

I would have paid anything to get out of that car. It made me miserable... rattles that couldn't be fixed, parking brake module failures, 10 days in the shop for oxygen sensors, front suspension noise, strange transmission issues, the car didn't start one day, tach didn't work one day.
You might say that it was just a lemon, but the problems listed above are actually split between two S6s. They replaced the first lemon, and gave me another one.

Well, I needed a double-double, so I asked my S4 for a list of nearest restaurants, scrolled down to In-N-Out, and voila! Prior to this car, the best nav system I'd ever used was the Eclipse system I put in the B5 S4. Nav on my wife's Merc ML350 and the S6 were not impressive. This 3G MMI rocks!

Put Telegraph Hill in and come show me the car. [hail]

It was ordered, but not by me :) I called every dealer in California until I found a Quartz Gray with the options I wanted. The person who ordered it decided not to buy it, so I did.

Like I said, rare because it's only out for two months.
Not really "rare" in my books.

Audi of Mission Viejo. Great experience! Ask for Greg Duncan.

You deserve an award as most loyal customer. Man if a manufacturer gave me two lemons in a row I would definitely think twice. I guess atleast Audi stepped up. Did you need a lawyer?

Well, I definitely said I'm done with Audi. But then a year passed, and I didn't see a BMW or Mercedes worth buying... thought about a Lexus... then I realized that I had 7 years of great experience with my 2000 Audi S4, and with the new S4 coming out, it was probably worth a try and at least would save me from driving a Lexus :)
Nope, no lawyers involved. They stepped up on the first one, no problems. On the second one, I just got tired of bringing it to the dealer and it didn't technically meet lemon law requirements yet (3 attempts to fix the same safety-related problem, or more than 30 days in the shop) so I just sold it.

I love the S-Tronic! And I was a total 6sp manual guy before. Hated the auto transmission on the S6, so thought I'd stick with manual... until I drove the S-Tronic!
Dynamic mode (a.k.a. "S" mode) for around town and Comfort Mode ("D") on the freeway. It shifts way early in "D" mode so driving around town can be a bit dull in "D".
And of course the best feature is the lightning fast shifting.
There's also the paddle shifters, but I tend not to use them because with 7 gears you flip through them so quickly, I'd rather just let it shift on its own. It does a great job in S mode.

I had to compromise and take 101. I didn't have that much time to spare. Much better than I-5 though, it was a nice drive.

God it looks so nice SebGood! Thanks for all the pics I can't wait for mine since it will look pretty much exactly the same; the only difference is I went for the two-toned silver/black silk nappa seats. February can't come quick enough =(

*hi SebGood
i'm very happy for you, infact i'm seriously planning to get an S4 with same paintwork too! i i previously owned an A4 DTM limited Edition, nice body kit but alas i felt it lacked some real Oomph under the bonnet dept. presently driving a 335i Coupe, fantastic car and is everything all those critics say it is, except the fact that it tries to kill you in the wet!
Audi has always been my 1st love and having read all about the upgraded Quattro sytems (60:40), plus an all new diifferential too.....i can't help but salivate at the possibility that this new S4 could give the legendary RS4 a run for it's money in the twisties?
however i don't look forward to the fact that i will have to shell out nearly $100k usd for the same car/specs as yours, inorder to own one!
tax on luxury items such as cars are simply HORRENDOUS!
