I don't believe chips are out yet.

Chips are out by MTM and ABT but they cost an arm and leg. I think everyone is waiting for GIAC, APR and REVO. It looks like it may take them a while longer.

APR is already done...just not ready to sell.

The Sakman is right...plenty of stuff about this on the B8 A4 forum and Fourtitude.

MTM chip is pricy, but they were first to the punch.

There will definitely be some competitive and cost-effective options coming soon to take the S4 into RS4 territory!

13 days ... you counting ?

Well done.

Come on over to some of my home forums .. perhaps you'll get a warmer welcome.

Perhaps not.

Else with that level of enlightenment .... GF.A

The only thing APR have to fear is Revo. But then you know the history behind those two marques, don't you ?

Lol. There's not a great deal I don't know about the B8 S4. But don't take my word for it - m'kay.

*sniff sniff* am I the only one that smells a dick here? Lol all kidding aside - I'm really anxious to see if those prelim 100hp increase numbers are real and consistent. Also - any idea what that would do to gas mileage?

Yes, the numbers are real and consistent. APR has the programming complete and have for quite a bit of time.

Their files should be ready for retail very soon.

well played. MTM isnt really a chip, its a piggyback module. I think ABT's is too and its serious stuff but its $$$. APR is going pretty aggressive in getting this done and have been open to it, REVO isnt stupid, and GIAC I just dont care about.

half of the PSI the SC is making is purged and I beleive "someone" is working on a way to tell the ECU to save that and use it. I dont know all the details but I know people who do. There is also some talk about a screw replacement kits as the pulley isnt realistically changeable.

Good news - competition will be good - should make Revo speed things up a bit too.

+1

I think there are going to be some fantastic aftermarket bits for the B8 S4. I'm also looking out for some wicked cold air intakes, forge or similar. That should add another 10w'kw (14w'bhp) or thereabouts.

I measured mine yesterday with GPS Module

0-60 km/h 2,7 sec
0-80 km/h 3,9 sec
0-100 km/h 5,5 sec
0-160 km/h 12,3 sec
0-180 km/h 15,6 sec

0-200m 8,7 sec 132,4 km/h
0-400m 13,4 167,7 km/h 104,2 mph

There sure is a place for the improvement...with launch controll the results would be much better [:)]
I will try again and post some better results

I guess my readings are close : 0-400m 13,4 167,7 km/h 104,2 mph

But i am sure that this can be improved.

I drove in manual and shift at arround 6200rpm.

I will try in dynamic S mode and will post results. Nobody else here with the results?
