I'm narrowing down my wheel choices for my S4 that will be here in a couple weeks... I'm thinking of the BBS CK in 20x8.5 or the Stasis SE08 in 20x9. What do you guys think? Also I'm thinking of having either powder coated black. Thanks for the help.

Oh yeah? Do tell... What are some others that you think would look great? Aside from the beautiful HRE M40s of course. Ha

BBS for sure.

They look more aggressive, and suit the nature of the car better.

BBS over the stasis.

I like the CH-Rs better though.

I loved the Stasis wheels on the red A4 they have.

On the S4 I've seen here, they don't look good. Don't know why. Point is, don't get them.

What's your wheel/tire budget?

What's your wheel/tire budget?

I would say up to $4000. A little more if the wheel is THE wheel.

BBS CH-R's [up]

Blake P
09-10-2009, 08:51 AM
Those mentioning CH-R need to realize that they are currently available in the more aggressive A5/S5 fitment and can only be fitted on A4/S4's by stretching tires (225's) and/or having the backpads milled down. Running thin tires might be ok on an A4, but the S4 is putting down too much power to safely run them, IMO.

Ok, that's a nice amount to play with. Do you definitely want 20's or are 19's an option as well?

I would consider 19s, but I really think I want 20s.

spend a little more and get some hre's or modsports/modulare

It's tough finding quality 20" wheels in that price range, but DPE, iForged, and VIP Modular are slightly cheaper forged wheels that have a good reputation. I know DPE is in the process of expanding their 1pc forged line of wheels and they are cheaper than HRE's.

The best way to describe it is that the CH-R's are an updated, more modern version of the classic CH design. As of now, they are only available in 20x9" ET25, which is far too aggressive for the A4 but fits the A5 nicely.
