Hey everyone! This is a little long, but I really need some stereo advice.

Cliff's notes: Are there pre-fabbed sub boxes that will fit a sub in the storage cubby in the trunk? Should I upgrade any part of what I have? Is my set-up worth dick if I sell any of it? How much should it run me to update my sub/amp?

Okay, now the details:

I bought my B7 S4 used with a stereo already installed. Turns out, I have some nice Focal components up front and 2 12'' JL Subs in a tall and shallow box (like you'd find behind the second bench of a double cab truck) with some huge amp behind my rear seats. The rear speakers and dashboard center speaker are running off the stock RNS-E Nav head unit, and the front speakers and subs are running off the amp.

Recently, my tall/shallow sub box fell on it's face in my trunk, pulling the wires out of the system. I brought it to a stereo shop and they hooked up the sub/amp stuff again and secured the box so it wouldn't fall out again.

BUT NOW... The sub box knocks/rattles around on every bump, the amp cuts out for a half second at a time at random, and my driver's door tweeter has gone out (not likely related to the stereo shop's work). Beyond these new issues, I've never liked the big-ass sub box eating up my trunk space and weighing down my car.

I'd like to ditch the two 12's for one nice 10 or 12, in an inconspicuous spot, but the stereo shop guy told me it's pricey and the fab work alone would run $1500 for a custom sub enclosure!!

Are there generic pre-fabbed sub boxes that will fit in that side storage cubby? Is it typical to find people running the front speakers and subs only through the amp? How much do decent tweeters run, if I were to replace mine?

And how much should it run me to replace my subs with one nice 10", and the huge amp with a somewhat smaller amp that can run the whole system?

I wanted to get either the Kenwood DNX7140 or the Pioneer Avic-Z110BT, but now I need to fix this crap first. Please HELP!
