The question is can you chip the car so that when it goes into service Audi will not know that it has been chipped. I am aware that you can just flash the ECU but this would notify Audi or the dealer that the ECU has been chipped since the bits has been changed on the program and once they scan it, I am sure they will know that the ECU has been flashed. They might not tell you but I am sure when a warranty claim comes up on an engine or tranny they will than let you know. Is their a way around this?

Yes. Any tuner worth their salt will have accommodated for all of the "tricks" the oem's and dealerships use to detect ecu modification.
Our ecu upgrades have been 100% technologically undetectable at the dealership level for 10 years.
The B8 S4 will be no different.[drive]

So no one, even yourself can tell if the ECU has been flashed and impossible for Audi technicians to determine any engine failure was caused by tuned ECU?

I didn't say noone. We know what to look at and so would Bosch if your ecu was mailed to Germany and compared line by line to the OEM code. AoA or any Audi Dealership does not have the interface equipment, expertise, time or understanding to be able to determine modification. Unless VAG decides to release internal engineering tools to AoA and the Audi dealerships it is 100% technologically impossible for them to detect the mod.
If the engine blows and the ecu is APR Tuned, as long as its in stock mode with security lockout turned on, it won't be detected unless sent to Germany which has not happened to date.

Can you elaborate on "stock mode" and "security lockout"? Also if an engine blew, don't you think that Audi would want to know what caused it and send it to Germany for inspection?

Stock mode on an APR ECU is exactly the same calibration the vehicle came with from the factory. Security lockout is functionality we built into the ECU that allows the end user to lock out and hide the fact that you can switch between the APR 'Chipped' mode and the 'Stock' mode.
