Hey guys. well this is my first post here. I came here to find some help

We bought our 2004 audi A4 1.8T 2 or 3 years ago from a family friend
I (16 y/o) have started driving it and absolutely love it. I learned stick just so i could drive this car (well not only, but a big reason why i learned).

the other day, my friend put my ipod down under the center arm rest in a little area that i didn't even realize was there. Then, when i looked there, I realized some sort of opening, like something could be connected there. I figured it was an ipod hook up and that i could finally stop using a tape deck! well non of my wires fit there, and im stumped. what is this thing?

pics - sorry its hard to tell where this is, but its next to the back of the e-brake arm, under the center arm rest. half of the little area is taken up by this black box

Looks like a specific cell phone adaptor with antenna, but can't be sure. It's not an ipod hook up, that's for sure.

Thats what i was told on another forum, but i wasn't sure
is there anyway i can open it up or something? so i can atleast change it to my phone? haha

Alright, does any know how to remove this piece? it is in there really well, i cannot just pull it out. what do i have to remove to get it out?

nah thats definitely not it. i dont even know if the iphone was out when this part was put it.

It's the connector for the Motorola cell phone cradle that was an option for your model year... It was an analog phone and it's worthless, you can't use it for anything else.
