iPod Hook-up...new guy question

Hi...I did a search, but I could not find any info on this adaptor.

I am looking for the best iPod hook-up for a B7 S4. I used a Dension IceLink on my '04 S4, but I was not sure if there was a better set-up 4 years later.

I saw this:

I am not sure how it works though....it has a great design with optimal placement (if you do not use your ashtray that is...)
