Sound System Upgrade Suggestions

I have been researching all weekend and decided to just ask some professionals with experience. Here is my question...

I have a 2007 A4 Avant with RNS-E (european) without BOSE system. Everything is stock. I want to upgrade the entire sound system, while maintaining the RNS-E. I am not even sure ho many speakers the car has, but I believe that it has two tweeters in the fromt dash board, and then 2 speakers in both the front and rear doors. What I am thinking about doing is upgrading all speakers, upgrading the AMP and also adding a subwoofer. I want the entire installation to remain hidden and I would rather not lose my spare of any space if possible. Can someone give me the exacts and make some recommendations on my possibilities? idk if they are the same as the b6's, if they are then you have four 6.5" speakers in the doors and 4 tweeters in the doors as well. I dont know if you want you go all out and amplify the highs and mids or not. If so its going to be a hell of an install to hide two amplifiers.
