I'm upgrading my stock sub and amp. I've searched off and on for a couple days now but could only find instructions for a B6 and it doesn't line up with what I'm seeing. I'd rather not break anything..

So far I've put down the rear seats and removed the 3 metal clips in the front of the rear deck. I also detached the 3rd brake light plug.

From the trunk (looking up) there are two square nuts and a torx bolt that look to hold the sub in place. Is that what I'm missing to remove the shelf? I'm pretty sure I'm missing some clips somewhere that I will break if I keep forcing it.

I appreciate the help as I hoped to already have this removed by now to actually get to work. Blah.

Nm, got it. I thought I read the speaker grill does not come out but it definitely does, easily. It was covering the screws. [headbang] Haha hope I help an idiot like myself!

remove the panels covering the D pillars and the panel covering the rear window antenna. The rear deck itself is held on with 4 clips at the very front. It's good you remembered the pull the 3rd brake light plug...I've forgotten 3-4 times already, and keep breaking the plug off... The sub itself has bolts on top and bottom...

Out of curiosity -- are you just swapping the speaker or adding a separate powered subwoofer?

I'm attempting to swap the stock sub with a 10" Infinity sub I have. Not there yet but checking out the possibilities.

I saw this from an S5 and it got me interested: http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2721280
