Need help with Bose

I need a DIY on the Bose wire map.
I put in a Kenwood head unit now When I change songs or if my cd
skips I hear this loud POP from the only thing that I can figure is the Pre-amp.
where is that located?
The POP is so loud that I wish I stayed with the 6 disk changer!!!!!

To be honest I'm not sure.
I know I had a choice between two to buy one with the
preamp and one without.
I know bose has a preamp so I bought the one for the preamp.
is that what you ment?
I dont know who made the wiring harness.
I had a friend who installs stereos put it in for me.
(he went to the Rockford Fosgate school)
he was telling me that its the preamp. but I dont know where it is.
He said if I can find the preamp we can bypass it.
