Automotively speaking, this is a broad subject. It depends on the size of the wheel, diameter, width, etc. Im thinking though that F1 wheels would probably be pretty damn light.

bbs, speedline, and Volk (ray's engineering) have all made some extremely light magnesium wheels.

a friend ran volk 15s on his mkII GTI and said they were under 10 pounds.

Has anyone had any experience with Centerline wheels? The weight seems to be amazingly low, especially considering the price point. The 7" width concerns me. Not sure how wide a tire you can put on that width. The RPM wheels look similar to the Lamborghini Gallardo wheel.

Nahh, BBS are comparatively heavy, unless you buy the forged/multipiece ones...even then, they're not too light.

Rota Slipstreams- I had 16x7's on my jetta and they were under 14lb's. Fairly inexpensive too.

I've noticed that BBS forged single piece wheels are usually lighter than multipiece versions of the same wheel.
